Paramore have begun work on their next full length, and discussed the new material with MTV News. According to frontwoman Hayley Williams:
I'm a big fan of a lot of heavier music. I've been listening to stuff like H20 and Set Your Goals' new album 'Mutiny!' So there's a lot of that. ... We all listen to so much stuff. This one has got to be better than (the last album) 'Riot!' and we all know that this next (album) is gonna be important to us. And we would love to record at home. We hope to work in Nashville, because we've been on the road for so long, and to be away from home has been tough.
The band's previous album Riot!, was released in 2007 and one of the tracks even got it's very own death metal makeover.

After their successful world tour last year, The Police have announced their last show ever. This final concert -- for which ticket and venue information have yet to be announced -- will be a fundraiser with proceeds benefiting the production of arts programming for public television stations Thirteen/WNET and WLIW New York. Tickets will be available nationally online via the Thirteen/WNET and WLIW Web sites.
Additionally, Sting and the Police announced that they will contribute $1 million to Mayor Bloomberg's MillionTreesNYC initiative -- a gift the city will match -- to plant trees all over New York City. During the conference, the mayor presented each member of the Police with his own key to New York City, and Sting presented the mayor with an all-access backstage pass that he said could be used at "any Police concert."

Media: Elvis Costello and the Imposters: "Momofuku"

Elvis Costello and the Imposters have a full album stream of their latest album, the unusually named Momofuku. The record was released April 22, 2008, The band took an unusual approach with the record, by releasing it only on vinyl/digital. The vinyl itself will include a digital download code to enable purchasers to grab a copy of the record for their iPods. While this has become popular with indie labels like Saddle Creek, this is one of the first albums to be released this way on a major label.
