Dennys - yes, that Dennys - has launched a sponsorship program allowing voted-on bands to receive free food from the massive restaurant chain while on tour. Fast food chain Taco Bell tried a similar promotion last year. You can nominate or vote for a band here.
Along with the sponsorship, the chain is teaming up with Taking Back Sunday, All-American Rejects, Plain White T’s and the Eagles of Death Metal to launch signature Dennys dishes. The first of the four bands visited recently and designed their dish which should begin appearing soon.

With their US tour wrapped up earlier this week, The Swellers have set their sights on Canada and have booked three weeks of shows in what has been described as America's hat.
They continue to support My Everest. Joining the band on the tour will be Canadian pop-punks, The Artist Life.

Montreal-via-Berlin's King Khan and the Shrines have announced a North American tour. The 12-piece rock'n'roll band will release The Supreme Genius of King Khan and the Shrines -- a greatest hits compilation of sorts -- on June 17 on their new label.
The disc features tracks from throughout King Khan's history and liner notes by Jared Swilley of Khan's new labelmates the Black Lips. The band released What Is? last year. You can find some music from that album on their official website. Khan is of course one half of the The King Khan and BBQ Show with his former Spaceshits bandmate Mark Sultan.

The Offspring have posted a streaming version of the first single from their long-awaited new album. The record is titled Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace and is due out June 17, 2008. It is the follow-up to Splinter which was released in 2003.
The song continues to be available as a free download from their official website.

Weezer has posted the second single from their upcoming full length. The record is titled Weezer (Red Album) and is due out June 03, 2008. It is the follow-up to Make Believe which was released in 2005.
The track in question is "Royal Crown -Vs. - Blue Duchess" which originally appeared on 2001's Too Bad You’re Beautiful. The record was also reissued in 2005.

Sweden's Meshuggah have posted the new video for the track "Bleed" on their MySpace page. The track comes from their sixth full length album, obZen, released earlier this year on Nuclear Blast.

Dropkick Murphys and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones have announced Red Sox-themed performances back-to-back in Boston in July. The two bands will be playing LeLacheur Park, Hadlock Field and McCoy Stadium. All three venues are Red Sox minor league stadiums.

Olehole (The Ghost, Burial Year, Takaru, Quest For Quintanaroo) talk new album, post new music

Olehole, which includes members of the Ghost, Burial Year, Takaru and Quest For Quintanaroo have announced plans to release their debut full length. The album, titled Holemole, will be released this summer on vinyl and CD format by Underground Communique in the U.S. Go Kart will follow with a fall release in Europe and Japan. The band is planning a partial U.S. tour for the fall, a trek that will include a include a performance at The Fest in Gainesville, followed shortly thereafter by a full European tour

New Haven, CT's These Green Eyes have posted a new song called "Sucker Punch" on their MySpace page. You can also listen to a brevy of their back catalog while you're there.
Minneapolis, MN based Fires at Night have posted two songs from their upcoming EP, Right Back Where We Started. The album was produced by Matt Broadbent (Somerset), and is due for a summer 2008 release.
Oslo, Norway's Olivia A.D. have posted a cover of The Draft's "Lo Zee Rose" to their MySpace page. They have plenty of original material available for listening as well.
Manotick, Montreal's Hollerado have just released a video of their new song "Americanarama" featuring Dave Foley from Kids In the Hall, probably because he's Canadian too. The song is available on the band's MySpace page. You can click Read More for the video.
