Bomb The Music Industry has recalled their recently released vinyl version of Album Minus Band (no review?). Apparently the album does not play at the correct speed. You can contact flood[a]asbestosrecords.com for a replacement or horde it in your parents basement only to sell it on Ebay for some ridiculous price.
The band recently wrapped up a tour with Less Than Jake and reportedly are working on a new album.

Posted by justin on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 9:00 PM (EDT)
Ann Beretta has announced two upcoming shows and an end to the band. The first will be on August 22nd with Weston, the band with whom Ann Beretta played their first show with in 1996. They are considering this their "Farewell To Richmond" as they will be playing their "last show" at this year's The Fest in Gainesville, FL. The Richmond set will consist mainly of songs from Bitter Tongues, their first album.
Ann Beretta rose from the ashes of fellow RVA hardcore outfit Inquisition. Rob Huddleston, singer and guitarist, will be releasing a new album from his other band Foundation this year via Paper and Plastick.
The Marked Men taking a break for at least two years; last shows this weekend
Contributed by avodrocyelir. Posted by justin on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 7:15 PM (EDT)
The Marked Men have announced that this weekend's pair of shows in Texas will be their last for at least two years. According to a MySpace blog:
Jeff is moving to Japan next week and everybody else has a lot going on in their lives, we are all sad but we will have another record coming out and a few 7"s coming out over the next decade or so. We are not going to be playing for a long time and it is not us breaking up, but if we do play it will be rare and hopefully we get a trip to Japan out of it. I like to think we have done a whole lot of cool stuff and we have met some of the best people I have ever met in my life, and I have even met some of my "idols" through this band. We took control of our band and have done things our way and I am so proud of that. I hope people and other bands take note that you CAN do things your way! It also pays off to be good people, at least that is what I think, if that matters....
The shows are tomorrow, July 18th in Austin at Emo's and the 19th at Rubber Gloves in Denton.
The band released Fix My Brain in 2006 and, as the blog says, are planning on releasing another LP and a few more 7"'s.

Tickle Me Pink to carry on after death of Johnny Schou
Posted by aubin on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 5:00 PM (EDT)
In light of the tragic death of bassist Johnny Schou, recent Wind Up signing Tickle Me Pink has posted a statement on their future as a band:
Johnny always wanted to bring purpose to other people's lives. He had a quiet leadership that lives in all of us as a band. His legacy is in his music and every show we play we are sharing a piece of Johnny's heart with our listeners. Not only would he want us to carry on, but we owe it to him
We have had to do some major soul searching as a band. We not only have lost a band member, but our best friend. The process is just beginning. We will never be able to replace Johnny, but through this tragedy we have all grown even closer together and are going to make him proud.
Tickle Me Pink has enlisted long-time friend Joey Barba to join them on the road as guitarist. They will be proceeding with their previously scheduled tour dates.

Broadway Calls has had some less than stellar times on Warped this summer. The band posted a lengthy blog covering their bus issues and their own comments on the tour itself:
We've been kicked off our bus by a nutcase driver, So we packed up and squeezed into a rental van. The lack of real sleep and real comfort is totally worth it, compared to being on the bus with those lunatics.
When there are 60 bands a day, and a majority of them are made up of either Christian jocks that play REALLY HEAVY MUSIC for jesus, or pop bands with the only thing separating them from boy bands like Backstreet Boys are their de tuned guitars hanging from their shoulders, it's hard to be comfortable. I walk around at night sometimes after the shows. Back by the busses. BBQ in full effect. I look around, and quickly realize that the only difference between this and a huge frat party is that all these idiots play music. Bad music. Unfuckinglistenable music.
Don't get me wrong. It's not all bad. There are some absolutely amazing people out here, and some incredible bands. Don't get me wrong. It's not all bad. There are some absolutely amazing people out here, and some incredible bands. We'll get by. We're learning as we go, and admittedly it has been a dream to do this tour since i was 15. It's beautiful out, and I'd rather be doing this everyday than delivering pizzas. We know we're lucky.
The band recently released a split with Teenage Bottlerocket.
