Doghouse Records was founded by Dirk Hemsath to release records from his band Majority Of One. The label got off the ground in 1988 in Toledo, Ohio and had soon released records from The Get Up Kids, Hot Water Music, As Friends Rust, Husking Bee and Metroschifter. In 2002 the label released released it's most high profile record, the debut from the All-American Rejects.
