The Militia Group was founded by Chad Pearson and Rory Felton The label burst onto the scene in 2001 with the release of Perhaps, I Suppose by pop-punk upstarts Rufio.


The Militia Group has put out records by Noise Ratchet [who has since signed to American], The Beautiful Mistake, Copeland, and more. Most recently, the label signed away long time Deep Elm flag-wavers Brandtson.

After taking the summer off touring, Brandtson have set a title and release date for the upcoming follow up to Hello, Control. The Militia Group have released a free digital EP for songwriter Chase Pagan. The EP consists of five tracks, including a cover of Queen's "Play the Game", and three songs from his forthcoming debut LP, Oh Musica, due out this July.
