Best known for its semi-incestuous relationship with the Chicago legends [and now defunct] Blue Meanies and their amazing documentation of the Chicago scene with OIL, THICK Records has been producing records without care for trends or fads for 10 years. Based out of Chicago, the label has worked with bands as diverse as Alkaline Trio, Citizen Fish, ALL, Burning Airlines, Local H, Servotron, and At The Drive-In, and currently has a wide variety of sounds in their current stable of bands, which includes everything from the garage-soul revival of the Gadjits to the celt-punk of the Tossers and the angular post-hardcore of Haymarket Riot.
