Cooking Vinyl is a UK-based independent record company, founded in 1986. Its original orientation was toward contemporary folk music -- notably Billy Bragg, and Michelle Shocked's Texas Campfire Tapes, recorded on a Sony Walkman, one of its first releases. Since then the label has grown and diversified into releasing Rock (Dropkick Murphys, The Donnas, Killing Joke, The Mission), Punk (The Buzzcocks, Undertones and Blondie), Electronica (The Prodigy, The Orb) and eclectic records such as Mexican Institute Of Sound)

Turbonegro's Euroboy discusses illness
Guitarist Knut "Euroboy" Schreiner of Turbonegro has posted an update detailing his illness. In March I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Disease, which is a "lucky" version of lymphoma cancer (90% percent get healed, according to Wikipedia and other and more reliable health information sources). Cooking Vinyl (home of the Buzzcocks, Turbonegro and more) have unveiled plans to release a new mini–album/EP from Pixies frontman Black Francis.
