East/West is a division of the Warner Music Group. The division is referred to as an "incubator" and is run by Fred Feldman, head of Triple Crown Records.

East/West has also signed deals to distribute Volcom Entertainment, the label offshoot of the popular surf/skate company; We Put Out Records, a new imprint run by hard-rock management and marketing firm the Syndicate; and Broken English, a recently formed label run by Nada Recording Studio owner John Naclerio and Chris Huges of Autopilot Off.

The labels that make up East/West will be distributed by Warner's Alternative Distribution Alliance.
