Squirtgun to play benefit show
Squirtgun will be playing its first US show in two years Saturday November 19th at University Church in West Lafayette, Indiana. Of note is the appearance of drummer Dan Lumley (Screeching Weasel, Common Rider, Riverdales), who has otherwise retired from music. The concert is a benefit with proceeds going to a Purdue graduate student and TA who had an expensive medical procedure and the university's insurance would not cover the whole bill. Fresh off their hiatus Chixdiggit are headed to Europe for a tour throughout the month of April. They'll be playing with bands like The Apers, The Gamits, Danko Jones and The Lawrence Arms on various dates. Chixdiggit have a lineup change to announce: Alcock is movin' on. Dave Alcock is handing back the sticks to the guy he replaced six years ago. New Squirtgun video available
"Squirtgun just finished a new video directed by award-winning filmmaker Jason Doty. The video is for the song "Burn for You," from the new Squirtgun album "Fade to Bright." The song features guest backing vocals by Kris Roe of the Ataris. The video is based on a flipbook concept, and each frame was individually printed to notebook paper, and then re-shot one frame at a time, to replicate the look of an actual flipbook animation.
