This wasn't the case at all. They have a sound all their own but, to tell you the truth, I didn't really know what to think about this record in the beginning.......the first song titled "Portsmouth" is great....so, I thought well it's off to a good start. The 2nd track "southbound" was very good too, but then as I listened to this album 3 or 4 times I was divided. Some songs were dissapointing and some were very good, songs like "portsmouth" "how to sell the brooklyn bridge" "proof positive" and a few other really caught my attention but the rest of the record just dosen't do It for me.
I'm not here to put them down though...this band is incredibly talented, the lyrics are awesome, very upbeat, and as much as I would like to get into this record...I just can't.
I would however like to give their other stuff a chance...(if there is any). If your wanting punk or hardcore here, this isnt the band for you....but rather something different to mellow out to, (great make out music) hehe... Hell I may end up loving this album, It will just take some real getting used to...but thats just me. Give it a good undivided listen anyway, The more I hear...the more I may get to like it, you never know.
