Randy comes back with a new gritty and explosive EP. The EP features 5 new tracks and 1 off "Human Atom Bombs(HAB)". The new tracks sound great, very much the same rockin' sound as "HAB".

"Cheater"s first 3 songs,"Cheater" "I don't wanna work" "Stepping Out", were recorded in Winnipeg on their sold out tour with their Canuck chums in Propagandhi. I think some of the guys from Propagandhi do some back up vocals on some of the songs. Next is "Addicts of Communication", taken from "HAB", a great track. Following that is 2 songs taken from the "HAB" sessions, "Dynamite" and "I won't play that song", that were originally used for a cd single of "I dont need no love" released in Europe.

The EP sounds really good recording wise. It has a nice live sound to it but it doesn't quite capture their live show, which i recommend to anyone who hasn't seen them live.

I was glad to see this release from these Sweds. I loved "HAB", I thought it was a great record. This EP doesn't dissapoint if your fan, and I recommend it for anybody who is into stuff like the Hives, the White Stripes, Mooney Suzuki and T(I)NC.

They need to get their asses back to the US. Randy Propagandhi was probably the greatest show in history and of course I had an exam. figures.

this is not their greatest release even if Dynamite is one of their best song.

go see them in show it'll worth every pennies

when in this review does the reviewer call randy garage rock. lets see, never. also people should pick up there older stuff, but anyone who has posted a comment to this review probally has not seen this band live, because they practically only play stuff of of "cant keep a good band..."
"HAB" and now this. i think the reviewer is just trying to get randy some respect they deserve. everyone who has commented on this review should eat there own feces.

does anybody else think these guys are a bunch of ass clowns

I don't really think they have anything in common with those other bands you mentioned. Randy just has a real catchy rock n' roll sound. Somehow, not playing hardcore or fat-punk makes you a "garage" band. Randy is one the best bands going right now.

yeah, I think the Chaka could get huge, the New Bomb Turks have that whole garage thing going, as well.

I've been listening to both bands for a while (don't dig the newest NBT stuff much...), and with this garage thing hitting, I wonder how long it will take for them to be discovered?

Still, people like to hear lyrics. Scared of Chaka doesn't always deliver...well, decipherable lyrics.

i agree..i mean i like randy's new style very much but i love their fast and hard stuff..

I think HAB was pretty bad, and I havent heard this, but if you're comparing it to T(I)NC and the Hives, I'm afraid that my dear Randy might be going in a very shitty direction. I think theres nothing wrong with checking this and HAB out, but get their older stuff first.

    A liked it mucho.

Now that garage rock is blowing up, are scared of chaka finally gonna become the sex gods I portray them to be with my dolls?
