For those of you who didn't know Near Miss is made up of two ex BigWig members Jeremy
and Max. Jeremy has taken over singing and rhythm guitar duties and Max has taken over on
drums instead of playing bass like in BigWig. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
I love this CD, as I like Bigwig also. Powerful and aggressive music. The lyrics are also really good, political and introspective. this is a good album. and a really good band. Having seen them a few times live, I have to say that the CD is a little more i saw them live a bunch.. fuckin rad band. near miss rules. i heard warner bros. owns 51% of epitaph. dick. The warner owning 51% of Epitaph thing is quite old guy, give it up. fearless sucks I like it This is an incredible generic punk album. You can tell these guys were in Big Wig just from hearing the first song. You guys belong on fearless, home of the generic punk band that never really get big. I've had their Demo CD since March, when Mychael (bassist) handed it to me at a gas station after a NOFX show. I still believe the three songs (Walk Away, Answers, and October Tenth) sound better on the demo, but this is a good album... and a great album if you're into pop punk. Good luck to them. yeah it's good, if you like generic , emotionless punk rock, folks , unless you want a straight up socal punk rock album, try it out, if not, trust me this has been done thousands of times before, and better Midtown...? They don't fit with Good Riddance amd Bigwig.... who cares gob isn't on epitaph records which i heard is 51% owned by warner bros!! It reminded me of old Gob big time (ie. how far shallow takes you era). |
