Heat DustHeat Dust: Heat Dust [10-inch]Heat Dust [10-inch] (2012)Texas is Funny Recording Co. Reviewer Rating: 4 Contributed by: JeloneJelone (others by this writer | submit your own) 2012 was a good year for rock of the fuzzy/loud variety, so much so that I'm still catching up. Hailing from the mighty New Orleans, Heat Dust take lo-fi rockers and sprinkle in some Siamese Dream huge guitar tones to spice things up. At just five songs and a goofy album cover, this self-titled 10-i.

At just five songs and a goofy album cover, this self-titled 10-inch is a tease. A mighty fine one, but a tease nonetheless. I only skimmed the review at first but saw Floor name-dropped and that got me to check it out. In that sense, I was initially a bit disappointed but I can hear where you'd draw that comparison. Past that, though, I enjoyed this a fair bit. Definitely worth grabbing, and they have a digital version up on their Bandcamp for people like me who prefer that.
