What is everyone's problem with Scott? I really don't agree with most of his musical opinions, but they're just as valid as everyone else's, and usually more intelligently worded. His "This sucks" statements often go against the popular opinion, but they're no less welcome than saying "This rocks." At least he's being mature and not personally attacking anyone who isn't attacking him.

And come on, fat jokes aren't even funny.

3. Why do I review these records? Because labels send me their CDs expecting a review. I figure bad press is better than no press at all - I mean, look at the whole Viva Death mess. My bad review convinced someone else to write a review praising the band, and it got all sorts of controversy on the boards here. Not a bad idea, eh? Anyway, I review it because it is given to me with that intent. Answer your question?
4. You say I never addressed the content of the record itself - umm, I'm pretty sure I did [as well as talk about the band itself]. I mentioned songs I liked, and why I liked them. I mentioned songs I didn't like, and why I didn't like them. What else do you want?
5. Why am I a meathead? Because I won't roll over and play dead on this? If I'm a meathead, what does that make you?
6. I'm an idiot to presume that you were male? Wow, that's stretching it, since [sadly] the majority of people on this site are males, and you have never given any indication otherwise. Don't blame me for your lack of estrogen, honey.

1. I'm perfectly comfortable with my review. The reason I keep posting is the same reason you keep posting: to continue debating. And if I'm "clueless" about my opinions because I keep adding comments, what does that make you for responding to them?
2. For the record, it's "milquetoast," not "milktoast." Just wanted you to have the correct spelling for future usage.
3. If my reviews aren't good, then write your own. I'll happily run them. This is sort of saying "put your money where your mouth is" nicely.

1. I have no intregity? Please tell me why. I thought I did, but I guess you know me better.
2. You say my opinions aren't based on music, then what are they based on?
3. You say I have biases against bands. Who doesn't? I don't like Face To Face. It is Face To Face's job, essentially, to make me like them. In the grand scheme of things, it's every band's job to make everyone like them - why else would they be a band? If Face to Face [or Viva Death, or anyone else] made an incredible album, I would recognize it. As it stands, both the new Face to Face and Viva Death CDs did absolutely nothing for me. Oh yeah, I've never even *heard* "Ignorance Is Bliss," so there goes your theory.
4. I am not a jock. Again, I am fat. Fat people don't play sports. C'mon, dude, pay attention.
5. Actually, the new Dave Matthews album bores me, it's way too vanilla. It's been all downhill for that band since 1998. Everyone should own the Dave Matthews/Tim Renyolds acoustic live 2xCD - that shit is gold.
