poor review if you like blink 182, the starting line, and new found glory, check out this really awesome band Stanley. listen to them at this link: www.purevolume.com/stanley "Right Now" and "Politically Correct" are the only good songs. All the rest suck. see this this band sucks dog dick for coke but to the kid trying to rip on Metal/hardcore kids fuck off you know shit about the hardcore metalcore scene. we are not all straight edge nore do we care if you are. and we will never be punks why because modern punk sucks i fucking hate these guys and wish they would die and finally....saying pop punk is an oxymoron is a dumb ass thing to say. Almost as dumbass as the metal/hardcore kids who pretend to be confused when u say "hardcore punk". They do exist and they do tlak about who is more straight edger. Nothing against the music, just the assholes and waste.......u wait for the "very punk" kids to come on you about that ramones comment. its gonna happen. Im sure pop punk is WRONG and "real" PUNK is right huh. take the stick out of your ass. the ramones and the descendents are pop-punk Usually people take an album like this and try to explain why it IS punk, not take an album that no one cares about and reiterate that it isn't. Since apparently we're now reviewing non-punk albums in an effort to keep punks away from non-punk music, keep an eye out for my forth coming "Kenny Loggin's Greatest Hits" review.....krowdsurf I must say that was a bad review. And to the guy below me with the signature blink-182 fart poo comment I dont think you should tell any1 to stop reading books until you have the mental capacity to read. the velocity of the sr-71 blackbird is quantized by the energy particles of zartan times the mass acceleration of the vectors OF SHUT THE FUCK UP AND GO READ SCIENCE NEWS TODAY. nobody cares so stop trying to show off your vast knowledge of shit that no one cares about. Lobo....lobo....bring back sheriff lobo!!!! I think Cobra had a plane that looked alot similar to the SR-71. The one that had a smaller plane inside it. I think it might have been piloted by Zartan or one of his crew. I could be totally off here. Dude, this reviewer likes New found glory and Good Charlotte!!!! HAHAHHAHAH. How can he possibly tell us what is and isn't punk. There were only like 3 punk bands listed in his "INTERESTS", the rest are pop bullshit!!! you fuckin dork. and POP-PUNK is definitely an Oxymoron. The two can't be paired, because the punk portion would rip the skin off the pop portion and there wouldn't be any pop left. punk hates pop. thats all there is to it. and music can be melodic and catchy without being pop. very easily. bad relgion and pennywise are not pop, but they're both melodic and catchy Specifically its the SR-71 BLACKBIRD. Ever read XMEN? That jet they have is a Blackbird, except there's is silver. The real ones are dark blue/black. pop-punk is not an oxymoron. how many times do i have to hear this shit? all i have to say is THE RAMONES. This is awful, why shoudl it be reviewed. And secondly, what's with this band being a glam-metal band when they started out and a "punk" band once Blink got big. I didn't think it was possible for SR 71 to actually get worse than they already were, but then I heard "Tomorrow" on the radio. Haha, damnit scott I wanted to be the smart one that knew what SR-71 meant... oh well. I am hesitant to ever say any band that makes it really big sucks except for a select few (Dave Matthews, Creed, Nickelback, LifeHouse, Puddle Of Mudd, and a few others). This is another band I will say sucks. Not because I dont enjoy their music (which I dont)... its because I think that they are only in it for the money. I mean come one. Their first cd was pretty poppy sounding... kinda like blink mixed with Lit. Now they are all about sounding like Linkin Park. I dont see where the hell that came from. I think they reversed their trends... pop punk is popular now and they are rap rock rap rock was popular then and they were pop punk (sorta). I will admit that i was fooled... I thought their first song (Right Now) was catchy and bought the cd. Thank god it was only $4.99 when I bought it.-BostonMusicGuy to the guy who asked below: HOLY SHIT! EDDIE , THIS IS SO COOL. The comment made above contains two of them, pop punk is a oxymoron, and a certain pop punk band sucks. Another one is pointing out a bands previous cd is better. and when a band is mentioned thats not a punk group, there is no need to point out they are not punk, we already know. ltjskank-you're an idiot. Pop punk is real. it's a type of music that combines the fast and aggresive sound of punk with the melody and catchiness of pop. sr-71 and sum41 fought each other before sum41 got really popular. one guy called another guy "gay." ICP is the worst thing in music. Yep, they're wank. I thought dashboard confessional was a good name...blah blah. Your fat ass thinks the name pringles is fucking brillant. Now go cry into your ben and jerrys.
