I went to this show most anxious to see Planes Mistaken for Stars. I have all of their releases and think they deserve more credit than they've received so far. When we got to the show, my friend Simon and I immediately approached the merch booth and talked to Planes. They were great guys. You're a bunch of fucking idiots. Theres no such thing as a non one-sided review. anyone whos defending FATA is a little bitch, they are the worst excuse for hardcore ive ever heard, its like hot topic created this band so they could sell shirts. fata=pussy ass emo shit actually i think more people like planes cuz they are "scary" and not like the rest of the momma's boys in punk and hardcore bands these days. It seems to me that no one likes Planes, just because they are a little scary. Bands like FATA ou can bring home to mom and not worry about them getting her stoned and fucking her on the coffee table. bitches and hoes man, bitches and hoes to the guy that asked if the reveiwer was in Phish i say this: BURN! PMFS was by far the best band on that show. big tittied bitches on my erectile dong..fata has got it all wrong...they sing about getting dumped and pussy shit in their song(s)..their brutal performance ensures me they wont live long.... yea this show sucked except for thursday. the review also sucks. that is all. good no nonsense personally subjective review. After 2 songs at there Chicago show people were booing them and yelling shit like " you look like Andrew WK". Coke was big in the 80s and part of the late 70s. Now it's a suburban yuppie drug for people that can't let go of their highscool social order. What's wrong with smoking pot? If you don't like it, that's fine, but get a life if you look down on people for doing it. Let me guess. It makes you stupid? I'd say a good % of people that post here are fucking idiots and I'll bet a lot of them don't smoke pot. Seems some of you believe all the bullshit you were taught in school. fata... good band... still fucking clean-core coke was really in the 70s but its making a come back No, all the cool kids sniff coke. How do you think the indie rock kids keep their figures? when i saw fata open for snapcase, ended their set by bringing out melanie (i think that's her name) and did "short stories with tragic endings," and i got friggin chills...such an awesome band, even if they gave my friend the death stare in syracuse..... The review was terrible. I was expecting to read about how the bands fared, not Ryan. I've never heard of Ryan and until he comes out with a decent record, I don't give a fuck what he does. what the fuck? why the fuck does it matter if he smokes weed? people make that such a big fucking deal, like oohhh weed is so stupid and bad. great, then don't smoke, but shut the fuck up and don't pass judgement on other people. and i thought his review was entertaining. way to go. I think that what we have here is a classic case of someone "liking" a boring and sucky band like Planes Mistaken for Stars simply for those reasons: that they are boring and suck. Kids say that said band is progressive and interesting and that they "rock", when in fact the only reason that they pretend to like them is because noone else will ever like them and the band will therefore stay "underground." Making anyone who likes the sucky band who doesn't get popular cool, and anyone who actually has good taste in music and likes equally good bands (who often get popular because they are good)is a poser and a loser because other kids actually found out how good a certain band is and the band isn't as underground now as they used to be. Some bands, like Planes Mistaken for Stars, never blow up for a reason: they fucking suck. HAHA right on with this review. Smoking pot is so bad for you...heh. Anyways, PMFS were the best band on this tour and only a handfull of people rocked out. This I cant understand. Then FATA comes on, looking like they jus came out of Hot Topic with their perfect hair and manicured nails..Kids start to jump around and look all stupid. I hate fashion core more than anything. "I guess it's their emo bandname that fits in so well these days. Pussies. Fuck you all." "Worst.Review.Ever. judging a band by it's looks proves you're all a bunch of lightweight posers. answer me this, (i saw this show in pitt) why is it that pmfs can come out looking more like a metal band than anything else (i.e. the lead singers long hair, the drummers braided beard, and no shirts) tell the tech guy to use all the lights and smoke and shit, and completely rock and everyone stands around with their fingers in their asses..... BUT... when fata comes out (i like them too i honestly do) looking all prettied up like they always do (seen 'em 3 times and they always have nice sideburns and the one guy has the vintage denim jean jackets that match the jeans) and play some hardcore stuff that people are like flipping out for, then have these slow ass breakdowns... people continue to dance through,HOW CAN YOU DANCE THROUGH A FATA BREAKDOWN i don't understand it Planes Mistaken for Stars... yeah they sucked. What a joke. I was prepared to leave when their fat-ass drummer peeled off his shirt, and then they began to sing a song about fucking. They continued playing while bunching together in a big group as I was convinced they were fucking eachother. But luckily my mind wasn't totally scarred for at that point From Autumn to Ashes came on and changed my perspective of what was beginning to be a shitty show. It continued on to be a great show, as Thursday, naturally, rocked. Worst.Review.Ever. this review was right on. I would personally like to cyber-shake this guy's hand. PMFS is completely underrated. Through multiple aggresively innovative releases, they still opened up for a local band in STL. Lame. yeah your review sucks and FATA is awesome. every other band just sounds all plain emo and gay. You're all entitled to your opinions, but what's the point in saying "they rulled, they sucked, he was cool, they were okay"? You're saying nothing about the fucking show at all, it's almost like you just wanted to jump in and write something before anyone else just to say you did. it would actually be chris caraba is a jonah with an acoustic guitar, seeing onelinedrawing came first ya but it about sums up my feelings of the chicago show too. Horrible horrible horrible review, you suck. oh, my mistake. frats are about drinking, not smoking. planes did fucking tear it apart (new ep is great)and though i think fata are okay, they were not nearly as good as i thought they would be. jonah was amazing and so was thursday. good show and pretty good review, though i was gonna review this show, too late--emptycauses I wanted to go to this show, but couldn't find a ride....I'm pissed. "Jonah Mantagra (One Line Drawing) sounds absolutley nothing like Chris Carabba, Jonah writes about everything in life, not jsut about girls, and his feelings ar soooo much more raw then chris's. Jonah also varies at his styles unlike every song sounding almost the same. I think Chris is a good artist, but I think that Jonah is 100000X's better." The only PMFS cd I have is Fuck With Fire, my question is - Why are the vocals so goddamn low? I can hardly hear the singer. haha, what a great fucking review... Fuck Thursday, FATA and whatever other flavor of the month played the show. Planes is one of the best, most intense and unique bands to ever hit the scene. If you don't own any of their albums do yourself a huge favor, trade in some of your bullshit emo cds and by "Fuck With Fire" or any of the albums for that matter. If you dont like planes I'd go as far as to say you don't know good music... If by "hot" you mean "fat, ugly, dirty, nasty ass hardcore ugly girls", then yea, I agree. Wow, you need to listen a little closer to the music before you group it with someone else. Why bother even post this review, this guy is an idiot.. Hey everyone, this is Ryan, the guy who wrote that awesome review yea, that review sucked but pmfs is amazing, even more so live than on record...fata is too generic for my tastes and one line drawing was one of the best shows ive ever been to, playing at thunderdome (rip) in tallahassee with further seems forever..amazing stuff Personally, i think all those bands are really good. I havent much of PMFS, but i'll check it out. FATA are really good, damn good players. Thursday playing a FAR song, that must of been just the best. Only downside, weed sucks. makes people fucking stupid. Awesome review. Smoking tha dizzank. this is the worst review of a show i have ever seen. pussy. PMFS sucked, FATA was 10000 times better, go smoke yourself stupid. 10 bucks the girls weren't really hot at all, that was the weed taking over his senses.. WOW!!!!! that has to be the best way to conclude a review EVER. Instead of a wrap up/ final thought, its hot chicks, nice. I'm actually going to change my conclusion on the essay im writing tonight to "Hippie chicks who protest are SIZZLIN'" i think this guy should go join the buddyhead staff. one of the shittiest reviews on this site. and that is really saying something considering how many terrible reviews there are. but hey, you're a cool dude anyways, i mean, you smoked weed, right? only the cool people smoke weed. hahahaha. As much as that review was horrible and didn't say anything about the show, just which bands sucked and who he smoked with, it was still funny as hell and entertaining to read. Actually, I really enjoyed that review (though probably for the wrong reasons). And he was right about the bands too, PMFS, onelinedrawing and Thursday are great. FATA is a fucking joke. Onelinedrawing shows are just about the funnest shows around (though preferably in an extremely intimate setting), I'm seeing him on thursday and it's gonna be a blast. I went to this show, and Planes fucking sucked..... In Chicago, Thursday covered the Far song "Mother Mary," and they even had Jonah sing it. It was a great experience. Jonah is so good live, it really is something to see him. i'm not even gonna waste my time saying why this is the shittiest, most one-sided, juvenile review i have ever read in the longest time. this is the most ridiculous review i've ever read. made me laugh. "...and had seen em and shit. Word." jonah rocks. onelinedrawing, new end original, and FAR! it's a shame Far is no more. and this would have been a great show. i love every band. ...um.. why was this review even posted? i found this review more entertaining than 95% of the others no more reviews for you. haha, that comment about the reviewer being in a frat gave me a good laugh. Boo, only three sentences for OneLineDrawing what are you on? this is quite possibly the most ridiculous review ever. pmfs is the best band around. this guy had it right. |
