A little history on Vaux - the band used to be called Eiffel, and Volcom has taken great care to make sure everyone who looks at this CD knows it; my only question is "who is Eiffel?" It seems like the label is really pushing for people to know about this name change, but when you've never heard of the former name, why care? Anyway, onto the music. The words "better review" and "punkbands.com" should never be in the same sentence. Whoever said Vaux isn't that good live is kidding themselves. And is going to feel like a total dumbass when they actually do see them and they blow you away. Best live show I've ever seen. Gee, I wonder if that last comment was posted by a band member or friend. In reality it doesn't matter who eiffel has toured with or played with, they really aren't all that interesting live and certainly not on cd. Theres a better review on punkbands.com... that first comment didn't really say anything more than the review, which actually was well done despite its length. this really just sounds like a more metallic thursday to me. not bad though. no drive-thru took that cake long ago Volcom might take the cake for being the worst label. Wow, well, due to the weak review I'm going to have to comment on this one myself. Vaux hails from Denver, Colorado and in thier past have shared the staged and toured with many incredible bands. Anyone who has seen their live show knows just how amazing these guys are. On Life; Living is a very unique, four song ep that I highly recommend picking up. Combining, rock, metal, and punk in a unique and hard to put a finger on it style Vaux separates themselves from the rest of the punk/hardcore scene. Listen to the MP3's, decide for yourself but I highly recommened it |
