I love Ultimate Fakebook. I always have, and hope I always will. When I heard they were going to play a show at the Paradox Theater in Seattle, I knew I would be there. This marks the fifth time seeing UFB and I was by no means let down.. These guys know how to rock the stage. So what if their music isn’t the most impressive or creative sound you have ever heard. They are good at what they do, and the create audience participation which makes their live show hard to dislike. Ultimate Fakebook shared the stage with Nerf Herder and Fairview, a newer band from California. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
Does anyone have a bootleg of this show?? I am going nuts looking for it, I am willing to pay top $ or trade for another one. PLEASE HELP!!! Whoa, you just totally blew my mind! Music... is emotional! I never thought of it that way, man! Dude, now we should go smoke some dank ass weed and contemplate whether or not God exists! It'll be totally wicked! My parents aren't home, so we can smoke in the basement, but my sister gets done with chorus at 8. This is gonna be so awesome! emo=emotion, all music is created by, or creates an emotion....thus if emo is a music style shouldn't we put all music into it?! speaking of the "one hit wonders", nada surf is still a group actually. they are on reinforcement records. i havent listened to them at all, but if your interested in the slightest, you can probably find stuff about them at their labels site. i never liked em but hey, go nuts. nerf herder rocks hard....okay....i don't have anything worthwhile to say, just the obvious, go back to your normal being "punk." :P Ultimate Fakebook is INCREDIBLE! Love those guys :) I was at the Detroit show and it rocked as well. UFB was the best of course... Fairview was also good, their cd is really mellow. Nerf Herder was also really good, they played a lot of their popular stuff. i love ultimate fakebook too. what a great band. Only thing I like by Nerf Herder is their making of the theme song for Buffy The Vampire Slayer, other than that they suck. I just brought up that Nada Surf song because that was the song I was listening to at the time and I had nothing important to say. american cheese is one hell of a cd. I think you guys have your one hit wonders mixed up. Nerf Herder is popular for "Van Halen", and they have nothing really in common woth Nada Surf. i cant really explain how....but nada surf's "popular" changed my life. A damn fine tune, indeed. I saw nerf herder in boulder, they were pretty good, but not sure if it was worth the drive. I did like how they played quite a few songs from their s/t. oh, and the low point in the show was definetly fairview. not only do they suck ass, but they're cocky assholes. And every damn song had a stupid little unnecessary audio intro. And they kept explaining to the crowd that they weren't emo. they probably think that they're too original to be classifyed, but i just call it shitty music. Ultimate Fakebook is better than you, your mom and your favorite band combined. For reals. m/ Actually, their first record is pretty bad. And their new record isn't that good, either. But, man, This Will Be Laughing Week blows every other pop record out of the fucking water. how in the hell did nada surf come up form this review? I concur. Nada Surf's "Popular" is one of the best songs of the 90's. |
