This album begins with a drunken sing along telling the tale of the Whiskey Rebellion of 1794, which quickly turns into a raging street punk anthem which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The rest of the songs that follow tell tales of rebellion, disillusionment with politics and society, being true to yourself and family, and of course, or the name of this band would be misleading, whiskey (or any alcohol) and all of its related fun.

One track I particularly liked was Roll The Dice which is a Bouncing Souls sounding song about using music to deal with the harshness of life, but not letting it get you down or blaming others for your mistakes. Some other really good tracks included Let Freedom Ring, St. Ides, and Final Call.

One problem that I had with this album was the terrible artwork. It looks like it was printed off someone’s home computer and the printer was running out of ink. Now I wouldn’t mind if this was a self-released album, understandable, but this band is signed to GMM, a company that I know has enough money to give them a quality print job. Other than that minor flaw, this is a great debut album from these drunken Sacto hooligans, whom I could see going far in the street punk/Oi scene. Fans of the Anti-Heroes, older Dropkick Murphys, and the Business will love this.

this cd is so sick, who really cares if the cover is messed up a little bit, that has nothing to do with the record. mabey they were going for that raw look. i suggest you see them live if you havnt, they are one of the best live bands ive ever seen

I remember stories my friend would tell me how they would get hobos to buy them booze and then get in fights with them, because the bum would try and rip them off. Pretty funny stories.

As for me, I'm not a drinker at all. Although, if I wanted to, my drummer has his own mini-bar at home, and would offer me all the free drinks I want. Too bad I don't drink though, Blah.

Are you under 21? When I was under the age I would usually buy a bum a 40oz to do it...

    It's not that I don't understand it, it's just that I don't get it.....hehe.

Whats not to get? If you don't like to drink, that's cool, but what don't you understand?

Why rebel against whiskey? With the recent inception of these malt-liquor fruit drinks, we should fight the good fight against their tyranny.

good to hear about the printing, i thought that it might be shitty for me just cause it was a promo copy, hell some labels dont even send the artwork, so good for them. As to anti hereos being rascist, umm no. listen to read and white and black and blue, a song about unity for all americans no matter what the skin color. They do hav rock and roll nigger, but that was a) a Patti Smith cover b) using the word in the true meaning, which was a slang word for slave. Beacause of the slavery of the african americans in america nigger came to be a racial slur, but in other places (i think england) it still can be used as a word for slave, think of the crass song white punks on hope "if you care to take a closer look at the way things really stand you'd see we're all just niggers to the rulers of this land" To that he means slaves.

I could go on but im out of time, but don't talk shit about stuff you know nothing about, and im willing to bet that the stuff you listen too wouldnt be able to hold a candle to the anti hereos.

The shitty print job was the fault of the actual company that printed the CD. Something got mixed up as far as the type of file that the artwork was saved on. the newer pressings should be of better quality, or so i hear

The Anti-Heroes are racists? Wow that is news to them. Listen teen age "punks". Why don't you do some research into the "scene" and into a band before you slag them because most of you have no clue and sound ignorant in your posts.

Moldy thanks for doing some great reviews. I had almost written this web site off because of the amount of MTV kids on here.
