The RaveonettesThe Raveonettes: Whip It OnWhip It On (2002)Crunchy Frog Reviewer Rating: 4 Contributed by: jheiseljheisel (others by this writer | submit your own) For a number of reasons, people will probably classify the Raveonettes as a White Stripes knock-off band - the band's a two-piece, and it's one man and one woman. But that's too bad, because while the Raveonettes may share some similarities with Jack and Meg, they're definitely not copycats. Whil.

this band's name is too close to raisinettes to be good. There is no candy in denmark you are pretty sad if you get all up in arms because some anonymous guy on a message board makes fun of your country. What the fuck is wrong with the denmark? The country is a fuck of a lot cleaner and less fucked than the US. i just got a chance to hear this the other day, and it ws really good. it also seems that every band where "garage" can be used to describe them gets shit for being repetitive, thats why you need to listen a little harder. too damn boring...sounds like the dude is just talking into a fan and rubbing his guitar on the carpet "Denmark fucking sucks dick." thier live show started out really good they did this really noisey cover of buddy holly ...uh i htink its called baby doll...but after 10 mins i was liek goddamn are they playing another song yet? ....when all yr songs are in the same key with the same patterns its hard to keep interest....but cheers to them and the killing of everyone on punknews message boards. i saw their video for *attack of the ghost riders* and just kinda sat there, wondering what the hell i had stumbled upon. is till dont really know. but the video was more interesting then the music. at least in my very humble and meaningless opinion. wow i totally forgot to make a "something's rotten in denmark" hamlmet comment here. WHOOPS thanks for reminding me that it's your comment! |

TO be honest i havnt heard a lot of The Ravonettes (who cares if their name is close to anyones name, you can find it a lot of places) and i like it, the style is kinda 70's i think, not like the Clash or Sex Pistols but i feel like a late 70 guy when i listen to it.
