This is one of those shows where I was torn on whether or not to go because I love the bands but fucking hate Drive-Thru records kids. They crowd surf (which is great fun unless the kids crowd surfing are kicking while they are in the air and hit you in the face) and they’re all fucking fifteen year olds who think they are the most indie kid in the world because they liked NFG before they played on TRL. Drive-thru blows nuts. Every band on their ever-lovin' label sucks ass. They're a bunch of choir boys compared to FATA. Wasn't Dikembe Mutumbo getting his cock sucked at the Cotton Club in Atlanta? apparently we are the polar opposite of one another. We don't agree on much, do we? AFR and god awful do not fit in the same sentence. At the Orlando show they kept saying: "this is for open minded people looking to discover new music." I give em respect but they were just out of place but touring on this tour took some balls cuz I'm pretty sure they knew they wouldn't win the crowd over. Something like that... You all are a bunch of f**cking morons. If you would, for just one minute, appreciate another type of music than pop punk, you would realize how amazing steel train is. Granted, I do agree that they should not be playing for the finch crowd. In fact, their music will be around long after you realize that finch is just another pop punk bank with not much else to offer. this is the girl of thefirstfive, and since he checks this site every time i turn around or when im not trying to get him to make out with me, i know he'll see this. just wanted to poke some fun.... I'm gonna have to go with Wuss, FATA aren't so great. This score, however, is for HOTLANTA. I poke fun at Wuss, but at least he trys to be open about most music. And isn't being open to new things what punk is about? That said I still think Alister sucks. fata is amazing, i still have yet to see them. and isn't salem just as friends rust with a new name? that's what i was told... I was going to go to this show but i was sick so i couldn't make it. the cotton club is an ok venue. the old cotton club was MUCH better though. i miss that place. it's sadly a parking lot now. man, i wish fata was playing here, and not the used. the used can suck my fucking dick. i hope he chokes on his goddam puke. This is my first post... but WussEmoRocker... to look at your name and wonder why everybody makes fun of you is utterly foolish. excuse me you hypocritical asshole, but what makes my music shitty and yours good? Hey Wuss, Why don't you go pull off about A Simple Plan and stop wasting everyone's time trying to impart your impossibly shitty taste in music on us. Ah, yes, I almost forgot, Burn in hell. Hey WussEmo. You really like Alister remember. Didn't that take away your "this band sucks" rights? Finch are great, and I like every band on Drive-Thru (as everyone knows), but Steel Train are just utterly boring and in some songs terrible. I saw them, or the 2 guys, play at warped on the drive-thru stage, and I thought it was a joke. Anyway, decent tour, FATA suck though. no offense kid, but i dont think anyone really cares about the paper doll your mom gave you. otherwise not too bad... coulda talked a little more about the opening bands.. Finch rocks. Really, really good band. I went to this show in Orlando...I even had a review written on here then something "invalid" happened and it got erased and I didn't feel like typing it over. Maybe I'll write it sometime. Finch rocks no matter what label they're on. From Autumn to Ashes did better this time around... they stunk it up when I saw them with the Suicide Machines, their set sounded like 2 long songs instead of 1 really long song. Steel Train's brand of easy listening coffee house music didn't belong, and Salem was decent. Yep... why in the world do people like FATA? it baffles me. they are utter shit. they can't sing and can't write SONGS. its the most derivitive, cliche, and trite stuff out there. How on earth is that sweet? That means you have to sit through the shitfest that is the Used. finch is great, regardless of what label they're on |
