The boys from Britain are back, and with this, their third release, have brought with them a much more polished sounding album. With two releases on Fat Wreck Chords under their belts, Consumed have switched labels for "Pistols At Dawn", and have released it on BYO. Please login or register to post comments. I guess if Consumed is too metal for Fat then Strung Out should be off there in a while. fat didn't 'drop' consumed so to speak. they just didn't like the new album, it was 'too metal' for them. >I actually know one of the guys in >Snuff, and from what I understood they >left Fat largely because the prices on >their CDs were too high in the UK. This shit owns, straight up punk rock. I love it. im sorry but i too liek bracket and snuff, they just both rock. everyoen should be into snuff I might get flak for this, but whatever: I like Bracket and Snuff better than this band. Always seemed a bit too metal-ish for my tastes. Though I do like the song Same Way Twice, good stuff. I actually know one of the guys in Snuff, and from what I understood they left Fat largely because the prices on their CDs were too high in the UK. Not to say that Fat was ripping them off, but due to importing and whatnot, it became both difficult and expensive to get them. That's why the jumped ship to Golf records (over there), which may have had some bearing on their choice to sign with Union. i wouldn't exactly say they have a pop-punk sound. I cant decide with this one. Hated it first few listewns, then loved it, now it kinda grates. One thing that pissed me off about Consumed was the hard man bravado e.g 'i wanna smash your face in' kinda lyrics. Gets boring after a while. And some of the songs seem intent on showing technical ability as opposed to actually creating a good song the midi is not of a song off Hit For Six, it's of a song called Heavy Metal Winner off of Breakfast for Papa's. Anyway, good job for reviewing this CD, one of the best releases by any band in a long while! I don`t think Fat has dropped them and Snuff ... they`ve decided to go themselves ... i want to get this album soooo bad my peeps. Fat should have dropped Bracket instead of Consumed and Snuff. |
