I am in true love with this album! From start to finish it is one of my top ten albums of all time! Props to Yellowcard for showing me what real punk is! Okay, I got this CD at school when they were carrying boxes of the CDs around class, etc. It was a local band from the school I went to and I was like cool, because this of course is when I was listening to bands like Reel Big Fish and Save Ferris haha. #1 - L.P. is one of the greatest drummers of all time and continues to be one of my biggest influences in punk rock. #2 - guitars and bass are completely amazing! #3 - vocals are the best! I love Ben Dobson's voice! I think it is one of the more noticeable voices out there. He's awesome. The songs on here are incredible, '2 Quarts' is simply amazing, it's fast, catchy and irresistible. 'Possessions' is one of my favourite songs on the album, as I also have Planet Radio's Native Noise Volume 1 which has a different recording of the song (i think, it may just be re-mixed/mastered). 'Sue' is a fucking killer slab of skate punk I love it. 'American't' starts off a little on the ska/punkish side. It's really cool. Also one of my favourites, 'Up Hill Both Ways' with a nice bass intro. 'Me First' starts out with Sean on violin and is catchy and slow the whole way through. 'For the Longest Time', my least favourite track on the CD is a cover song. 'Get Off the Couch' is really melodic and fast. 'Interlewd' is just that. It's acoustic guitars and violins all the way. 'Someday' is simply amazing. 'Goodbye' is good call and response punk. And last but not least is the secret song on the cd, it's hardcore metal. Anyways, this cd rocks my world HARD. I love Yellowcard! (Thanks to Allan, I have the actual cover. - Aubin) Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
Ahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaha You must be kidding. Score is for the score. Appreciate the comments on my voice I wuz only a kid though my voice is much mor controlled now / ive ben looking everywhere for it where can i get it or burn it or download or something where did u get it? dude ive ben looking everywhere for it and i cant find it where did u get it? LOVE it i would pay like $50 for a original copy, mine is a burned one. Truly one of the most beautiful things i've ever heard. This is one of those albums where at first you're like "This is bad" but then you listen to it a couple more times and you're like "Why did I ever hate this?" I want this CD!! Anyone know how to find it??? this is an early effort of yc and one that i prefer to their new stuff. it seems a little harder and the vocals are more edgy. sue is an awesome rock song, i don't give a shit about how punk this stuff may be. what happened to the guy who does vocals on this cd? This album is a true soundtrack of throwing people of short height. It gives you the feeling you are tossing one yourself as you listen. It takes you to a whole new place. I love the band, it is A very great band with great vocals, gutair, violin, drums, and bass. I think that anyone who says it sucks maybe is a miget and is afended by the title, though I am not and i think i never will be. I hope everyone can agree that the sound is asome where can i find this album, or if anyone has a copy, would they be willing to send me a copy for a small fee..... Shitty emo/mall punk with a violin is still shitty emo/mall punk. Don't be fooled. www.yellowcardrock.com MERRIAM-WEBSTER DEFINITION FOR YELLOWCARD actually no, im 22 years old, have been in numerous bands, including bands on Hopeless Records (Against All Authority), Columbia Records (Trouble Is), Citizen Fish, Mephiskapheles and others. so fuck off. reviewer, you're 13 years old right? 5 years from now, you're going to wonder how you ever gave this record a perfect 10. and horrible review by the way of a horrible band. a little late on the comments, i know...but this is a completely different band now...COMPLETE TRANSFORMATION. this was like bigwig pretty much. and now - just pop-punk, really. good but...just pop-punk I LOVE OCTOBER NIGHTS...it is one of my all-time fave songs. havent heard this one. but their full length "one for the kids" is awesome. |
