Frenzal Rhomb are Australia's top punk export, and on 'Sans Souci' they show why. Frenzal are back to their best on this.

Songs like 'The World's Fuckedest Cunt', 'Cocksucker' and 'Russel Crowe's Band Is a Fuckin' Pile Of Shit' will give you an idea of what you're in for. When they play it fast they play it real fast. The drumming is top notch.

The lyrics are as always clever. Im sorry but im a sucker for stupid humour. Some politics are touched on in songs like 'White World' but for the most part they stick to stuff like 'I went out with a hippy and now i love everyone except her'.

The guitar work is good and new bass player can slap and pop just as good as Lex.

If you like NoFX and Guttermouth and the Australian accent, this disc comes highly recommended. It also comes with a bonus DVD with film clips for 'Ballchef' and 'Bucket Bong', and bunch of live clips and some home movies. Beauty bonza!

Frenzal is great to listen to for having fun and parties. Frenzal is kick ass and one of the few good pop-punk bands. But when you listen to it too much it gets annoying. I like Frenzal Rhomb but i like a lot of hardcore punk and oi bands better

This was an absolutely terrible review. It sounds more like a press release rather than a review. Come on, tell us how the music made you FEEL, what it made you THINK, not the superficiality!

I ike this album! It really makes me feel proud about being an aussie, well not really, but it's still good, especially the song about Russel Crowe.......
.....Other Australian punk/h-c/ska bands that are awesome (most better than frenzal) the disables (my fave band at the moment, check out www.thedisables.com and get the 2 free songs, you wont regret it) , the nation blue, the knives of neptune, asleep at the scene, king mungi, dr. octopus, community cervix, something with numbers, sommerset, zombie ghost train, from these wounds, the spazzys, against, northcoast hardcore, bodyjar, irrelevant (very, very good), after the fall, one dollar short, antiskeptic.....um thats all i can think of for now.

Hello everybody, to all u americans who cant spell Australia, thats how u do it, and make sure u get it right cos ull be using it alot more, cos their is so many quality punk bands in the Land of Oz at the moment, and frenzel rhomb, is just the first. U guys my not not get some of da humour on this records, but thats cos we have a language all of our own, and to clear this up, every australian thinks tha Steve Irwin is a disgrace to this great country. But hay, thats just us. Anyway, frenzal have dun it agan, and every one should buy this album, Simple as that!

It's a great record, but something seems wrong about the review. I got the record through the college radio station I work at and the press release lists only 14 of the 16 songs that are on the album, and all in a different order. The CD I have didn't come with a DVD and the Fat Wreck website says nothing about it either. The only listing I found for the version w/ a DVD was on Frenzal Rhomb's website - www.frenzalrhomb.com.au So perhaps the DVD only come w/ the album in Australia? If there is a version w/ the DVD in the US Fat needs to get their shit together and promote it.

Frenzal are such a shitty band. But they are pretty funny guys on stage. That's about the only thing they have going for them. Living End is our best punk band easily!!

    My Score:

Talented musicians, but the more cd's they release, the further they descend into the crapper of mediocrity. I saw them play once in Calgary at the Night Gallery, and the lead singer (Jason, i think) broke his leg jumping back onto the stage. He got hauled out on an ambulance. KJ from Chixdiggit ater said it was the most punk rock thing he'd ever seen... - bigjerk

Fuck man you people hate frenzal, im an aussie and ive love frenzal, i mean some of there music may be shit, but they are the australian version of nofx and then some, they are our biggest band by sheer fans but definately not the best i give whoever said that one. By the way if anyones interested gordy plays for mindsnare too a top aussie hardcore band visist them at www.mindsnare.live.com.au

    My Score:

I dunno man, I'm Australian, but I never really got into Frenzal. I mean I've seen them a few times and theyre entertaining and shit, but the only songs I like are "We're going out tonight" and this other one i cant remember. Meh.

I don't think I could write any more for such an uninteresting band.

Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, April 22, 2003 at 1:04 AM (EDT)
    My Score:

They're hardly Australia's top punk band. Reserve such high acclaim for a more talented band. Even the Living End would be a better choice, though I'm sure there are better Australian bands than even them. I guess my point is, Frenzal Rhomb bites. But because I haven't heard the album, I can't rate it too harshly.

This new album is better then their last album, but Not so tough now and Meet the Family are still the best Frenzal albums...
They should quit now, and let Gordy play drums for mindsnare (great aussie hc band) in peace.
