Frenzal Rhomb are Australia's top punk export, and on 'Sans Souci' they show why. Frenzal are back to their best on this. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
Frenzal is great to listen to for having fun and parties. Frenzal is kick ass and one of the few good pop-punk bands. But when you listen to it too much it gets annoying. I like Frenzal Rhomb but i like a lot of hardcore punk and oi bands better I love this album. Fuckn funny as!!! This was an absolutely terrible review. It sounds more like a press release rather than a review. Come on, tell us how the music made you FEEL, what it made you THINK, not the superficiality! I ike this album! It really makes me feel proud about being an aussie, well not really, but it's still good, especially the song about Russel Crowe....... Hello everybody, to all u americans who cant spell Australia, thats how u do it, and make sure u get it right cos ull be using it alot more, cos their is so many quality punk bands in the Land of Oz at the moment, and frenzel rhomb, is just the first. U guys my not not get some of da humour on this records, but thats cos we have a language all of our own, and to clear this up, every australian thinks tha Steve Irwin is a disgrace to this great country. But hay, thats just us. Anyway, frenzal have dun it agan, and every one should buy this album, Simple as that! It's a great record, but something seems wrong about the review. I got the record through the college radio station I work at and the press release lists only 14 of the 16 songs that are on the album, and all in a different order. The CD I have didn't come with a DVD and the Fat Wreck website says nothing about it either. The only listing I found for the version w/ a DVD was on Frenzal Rhomb's website - www.frenzalrhomb.com.au So perhaps the DVD only come w/ the album in Australia? If there is a version w/ the DVD in the US Fat needs to get their shit together and promote it. That's funny cos I refuse to acknowledge any Australian product which doesn't involve Steve Irwin. Bonza. I refuse to acknowlege any product from Australia that doesn't involve Paul Hogan. Can you dumb cunts actually listen to the album you little fucks. Frenzal are such a shitty band. But they are pretty funny guys on stage. That's about the only thing they have going for them. Living End is our best punk band easily!! My guess is Rancid Punx is Joe Momma. Same style of humour. Joe was funnier though. Rise Against came out of 88 Fingers Louie dipshit and 2 other people from the CHICAGO area. But what would I know... Thanks for making me hungry asshole! Oh yea and Rise Against kicks all the other austrailian bands asses. Brody Armstrong is frickin hot. Damn, some Austrailians kick ass. I wonder if i spelt austailian right. RancidPunx is either 25 or 14....nothing else....either really young, or playing out a joke thats gone for too long. I think u are wussemokid. That guy was pretty coool though. Like an inspiration. He was like a brother to me that i never got a chance to meet. Hey doesnt that sound like a emo song? Kickass, i can be emo. Fuck you!!! comment of the week. right below me. - bigjerk I'm going to trademark the phrase "so sue me"(sue me will be covered as well), so that the next time some says that, I actually can sue them. if i ran the world I eat meat. Sue me. wussemokid is a good kid, leave him alone. Besides, he changed his name to rancidpunx, and your not supposesed to know its him! By far the best record ever released on Fat. I mean, Strung Out aren't even close to match Frenzal's guitar prowess. do all the songs sound unlike frenzals old stuff? i heard the song cocksucker and it sounded like a new sound, and im worried that they wont play anymore slow ones like "i love fucking up" and "i miss my lung" hehehe, wussemorock... what a fag. quiet wussemorock Thanks for making me hungry asshole! Oh yea and Rise Against kicks all the other austrailian bands asses. Brody Armstrong is frickin hot. Damn, some Austrailians kick ass. I wonder if i spelt austailian right. Is it me, or do these guys put a new album out every year? This score is for the reviewer's name.... chixdiggit may not be the best band, but their live show is a lot of fun...all request night every time i see them... - bigjerk Haha Chixdiggit, that band is fucking awful. Talented musicians, but the more cd's they release, the further they descend into the crapper of mediocrity. I saw them play once in Calgary at the Night Gallery, and the lead singer (Jason, i think) broke his leg jumping back onto the stage. He got hauled out on an ambulance. KJ from Chixdiggit ater said it was the most punk rock thing he'd ever seen... - bigjerk frenzal's ok. i've seen them live and they're pretty good. i'll check out the cd. Fuck man you people hate frenzal, im an aussie and ive love frenzal, i mean some of there music may be shit, but they are the australian version of nofx and then some, they are our biggest band by sheer fans but definately not the best i give whoever said that one. By the way if anyones interested gordy plays for mindsnare too a top aussie hardcore band visist them at www.mindsnare.live.com.au I dunno man, I'm Australian, but I never really got into Frenzal. I mean I've seen them a few times and theyre entertaining and shit, but the only songs I like are "We're going out tonight" and this other one i cant remember. Meh. I don't think I could write any more for such an uninteresting band. They're hardly Australia's top punk band. Reserve such high acclaim for a more talented band. Even the Living End would be a better choice, though I'm sure there are better Australian bands than even them. I guess my point is, Frenzal Rhomb bites. But because I haven't heard the album, I can't rate it too harshly. It wasn't that bad of a review, I've seen reviews that have been alot longer and yet said less about the band. i guess it goes w/o saying but i'll be the first to do so - this review was extremely short. informative at least, but this was definitely half-assed so it could get posted. well, congrats whopper person, your ten-word review is on display. This new album is better then their last album, but Not so tough now and Meet the Family are still the best Frenzal albums... |
