to the guy below me, u should listen to from chaos, its better than soundsystem and transistor. i wasnt saying i dislike those albums, but they are their weakest efforts, despite some real solid songs (come original, flowing, beautiful disaster, prisoner, etc.)

I think "Soundsystem" was great. Flowing is one of my favorite songs by them ever. "Transistor" takes a while to get used to, but eventually you start to notice the goodness in songs like "Stealing Happy Hours" and "Prisoner"...never heard that much of "From Chaos"

I don't have a band, but if I did have a band, I sure as fuck wouldn't beat a dead horse for the past 6 years.

And I wouldn't want to crank out "Amber" when I was 30, because I'd be too emabaressed. From Chaos was a fucking waste of money. And what does age have to do with anything? Nothing. Exactly.

They're albums have changed? Yeah, sure. Ok. Keep living in your fantasy world, the only stand out album they have is Transistor, and that album was too much filler.

Same formula for each album aside from that. Rap/rock throw in a touch of reggae and some cheesy lyrics and you got yourself a 311 album. The rap-rock thing died YEARS ago, yet they still manage to beat it out some more. Go ahead, I dare you to contradict that statement about their formula and their albums. You wont be able to because its damn true.

311's blue album was classic, of course looking back on an almost 10 year old album it will seem corny, its what happens.
Transistor was about 10 tracks too long, the first 7 songs are just fine.
Soundsystem was a "back to basics" sort of thing, the middle of the CD sounds the same and the whole CD is "alright" but I know some people who's favorite album of 311 is Soundsystem.
From Chaos is where it all comes together, not a single bad track on there.

311 sucks because they've been doing the same shit for years and have yet to evolve or go anywhere. Their lyrics are cheesy as fuck and they've played the same exact live show for years now.

If you hate kottonmouth, tear them a new asshole on a review of the album, not the show review when you have never seen them live. In fact, there live shows are insane, and more "punk" then most of the poser bands out there now.

I used to rock out to 311 back in like 6th grade. Make an instrumental, add a little vocal, take it to the station make the people go loco! Damn, those were the days..

Ah Zebrahead., they suffer from 311 disease. Half of one song is good, but the rest of that same song is TERRIBLE.

Zebrahead rocks. They put on a good show, but I refuse to shell out $25 to see the other craptacular bands. The bad outweighs the good.

But, I'm happy they will be releasing a new cd....finally.
