Youth means nothing if not potential. That's what I hear when I listen to Sonny's debut full length "A Temporary Remedy." The defining characteristic of this band to me is that the members are (at the time of this release) all 18 or younger. That's pretty impressive since nothing about their music suggests they're any less experienced than many more established groups. They sound mature and have demonstrated the ability to write some competent tunes. Despite his age, lead vocalist Matt Liebel (to my great amusement) is one of the few pop-punk singers who in fact DOESN'T sound like a pre-pubescent child.

yeah i recorded the drums on the cd, it was fun and everythin, but it woulda been better if we had more time and stuff cause like usual we waited till the day before and the day of to make the songs, haha, oh well, im sure if we practiced more they woulda sounded better, lata I didn't think is was poorly produced at all. Go to their mp3.com site and listen - it sounds good to me yo this is a pretty killer disc and they do sound like alk3 alot in the vocals and the lyrics are sometimes pretty dark too. It's also really poorly produced. Granted there's no big recording budget for such a small band, but i would think you could get by nowadays from other small bands i've heard. How much do the songs sound like Alkaline Trio? I might check this out. for starters, haha, i wonder if these guy are just wanting to be that, hi im 18 and younger band you knowe, that ahs "potentiaal", i wonder, because THEY ARE THAT BAND, WHHHHOPPP IE HAHA YOYO YA |
