Thankfully, it didn't take a VH1 special for me to realize that Screeching Weasel was not just the Ben Weasel show.... Which, in my defense, was not a hard conclusion to come to in the mid-90's. After all, Ben Weasel was the one with the smarmy MRR column, the one whose periodic bursts of bloated bombast would invariably send little shock waves through the punk community and the one who scripted the shockingly readable liner notes to "Kill the Musicians." incredible! anyone have their new ep? F'in great album. Probably scared some posers off with it's hip, rebel sound though. I bought this. It's really good. I wouldn't really file it under Punk, but it's great acoustic pop. Lots of energy, and that girl can SING. Holy hardcore this fucking rules. Downloaded a couple tracks, and had to download them all. Too fucking good. I'll be buying it, don't you anti downloaders worry. Um...the girl who sings has never lived in California, so I highly doubt you dated her out there. i dated the girl who sings in this band when i lived in san francisco. let's say she is the biggest blink 182 groupie i have ever met and should be shot in the head. score is for the review. I like it alot. Just checked it out on the Lookout website. Nice review. Isn't the dude that looks like he's in Blink 182 and is in Summer's end in this band? Their singer looks like he has barrets in his hair. I think he probably was just saying that to ward off the "Fuck you, acoustic is not punk" posts. I doubt it was a slam on the band specifically. This sounds interesting. wait, why the Rise Against croud? I listen to Rise Against, and i enjoy acoustic music as much as the next man. |
