Circle JerksCircle Jerks: Group Sex/Wild in the StreetsGroup Sex/Wild in the Streets (2001)Porterhouse Reviewer Rating: 4 User Rating:
For me, early 80's hardcore punk is an aquiered taste. The Circle Jerks are no exeption. As I listen to this record more and more, it grows on me. Enough about me, on to the album. This record, as the title suggests is a compilation of the albums Group Sex, and Wild in the Streets. Unfortunately, since I bought it, I have not been able to find this album online. However, the two albums it contains are widely available individually. The 29 tracks contained do not dissapoint, if you're a fan of early 80's hardcore punk. To compare this to other bands in their scence, this is: early Bad Religion, with better production. Dead Kennedys, with a little less musical diversity, as there are no surf elements to be found. Minor Threat, with a more hedonistic approach to life. A little more coherent than Angry Samoans. If you're a fan of the bands I listed above, you need this record. It might be just what you're looking for. If your exposure to punk rock is limited to Green Day and Sum41, this album will probably come as quite a shock. Ok, Wild In The Streets is kinda mediocre. I'm just gonna review Group Sex. WTF, this is one of the greatest albums ever! thats a really bad review but you didnt even say anythin about group sex having 14 songs and being 15mins long and that the band is fucking great nice forum you got there http://www.los-angeles-casino.com/lanir/casino-directory-2005.htm l review wasn't great, however Group Sex is reason enough to buy this album. Shockingly fast songs, which are suprisingly catchy Group Sex is the better of the two but still a great album. theres nothing left to say then: This is fucking genius. Great Great great i have this CD. it's great. the review is not. Im reviewing this becuz i just masterbated and have nothing else better to do I kinda like short reviews. I don't think he really needed to say anything more than what he said. Come on, some people write 3000 word reviews and you don't have a fucking clue what it sounds like. At least he makes his point. All you english majors that want a fucking essay are extremely boring to everyone but yourselves. Group Sex = 10 I wouldn't slam the kid too much, at least he's trying to expand and listen to some good shit. horrid review, but whatever.. cd is hella old anyways............ classic circle jerks albums. this is really what punk rock is about. i love the sarcasm in the lyrics. my favorite circle jerks album is golden shower of hits though. wow. a god awful review for punk legends like the circle jerks.....wait a second, i'm on punknews.org, that's actually the norm.....on another related note, i saw keith last night at the black flag show in d.c. fucking amazing performance. |

Group Sex is angry and Fast as hell, which is what makes the album amazing, every song seemed to have difference from the other songs, the best tracks have to be I Dont Care/ Live Fast Die Young and Backed Against the Wall. 14 songs in about 15 minutes, shit, you got time to listen to it.
Well Wild in the Streets was good but a bit forgettable, many of the tracks I just cant remember many of them. The best songs are Wild in the streets, Trapped, and Leave it Alone.
