Orlandofest! The most anticipated thing of the year for me! The highlight of this fest was for sure the fact that i got to interview my favorite band, Against Me! but i'll get to that later, Orlandofest was full of surprisingly great bands who made the fest one of the best i've ever been to. Everyone calm down, this was a good review. " The K10 propspect was next, and i didn't really know what to think of these guys, they were on tour with the Carrie Nations and i guess had some energy...the crowd liked them somewhat...i'm not sure about em though. Their live set was not enough to judge on I guess." you don't know what the fuck you're talking about. maybe you should actually fucking listen to the bands before you see them. I give this review a one because i found it totally unobjective and while it is good for a review to have some of the reviewers opinion involved in an explantion it shouldnt be limited to "they play metal i dont like it" or to describe something as "the best non-against me band" I dont mean to bad mouth kevin11 in anyway, if thats way he wants to write a review then more power to him, but its not really helpful, i didnt walk away with an understanding of any band you mentioned that i hadn't already heard. To me when writing a review it shouldnt be just to praise what you like a disregard what you dont like, you should keep in mind that not everyone that reads your review likes what you likes or feels the way you do or see things the way youare and chances are they are reading a review to get an understanding of something they have not heard. My advice would be that if you are gonna do more reviews , specificaly reviews of fest type shows that have many stlyes of bands, that you attempt to step out of your own shoes a bit to give a more abjective opinion and maybe go into at least some detail on a bands sound. To the person who said that the times were posted on the orlando fest webstie: The times were majorly fucked up, and so was the band order. Wow Kevin, you need to listen to the bands before you go to their show. Hey Kevin, don't worry about the people who are talking shit. Most of them wouldn't have the balls to submit a review anyway. Yeah, I thought the Hulk was pretty wicked good too. What was bad about the ending? If you can't remember anything about half the bands and don't have anything interesting to say about the other half. hmmmm. Maybe you should take some notes next time. You might remember more about what happened at the show. Mmm... I have The South's "Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!" and like them or not, it is anything but by the book fast punk. Mmm... I have The South's "Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!" and like them or not, it is anything but by the book fast punk. I just saw The South in Menomonee Falls, WI. They really suck, I'm sorry. Against Me!, however, is fucking amazing. But man, to enter a tangent I must add that the Hulk was simply SPECTACULAR. No better justice could have been done for this tragic hero, and Ang Lee is my god. yeah, you guys are correct. Redline is the best band ever. the ending ot the hulk was bad Hulk analogy = funny ass shit! Were u trying to make us jealous by saying you were going to review against me! like over and over again, you're so cool me just watched mtv. it was kewl! This score is for NCAA football 2004, out july 16th on ps2. Mental notes stay in your brain dipshit. next time, i should see who's writing the review before i start reading it. mental note: avoid kevin 11 reviews. and that was supposed to say "i'm not trying to talk shit" if you write a review you should know what bands you are talking about. there where actually 4 bands between closed casket diary and the south - that "fast punk" band (which is what you seem to call alot of not fast punk bands) was actually a metalcore band called adore miridia. I thought it was a good review. I also understood and had a chuckle at the Hulk analogy. To the dumbfuck who couldn't understand it, pretend it's a movie review. Dear Mr. Hulk analogy, Haha, good thing you caught the typo. you would have been eating it sooner or later for it with that comment. Hulk analogy didn't make sense. Your stupid. Think you could get away with suing the organizers because this was technically held in Winter Park and not Orlando? Actually it might be Orlando, the line goes right on one of those streets. I was actually on the Rollins College campus where this was held on Saturday, but it was in a car with Playground Heroes and we were lost looking for their gig. Also, I'm surprised you never mentioned the weather problems, resulting in everyone crowding into a hallway. Apparently some of the bands (Dispensing False Halos or whatever their name is & some others I was told)didn't even use mics because it was so wet. Sounds like this show ended up being kind of weak. I went to see the Hulk. I missed most of the movie at the concession stand and in the bathroom. Most of the rest of the movie I wasn't paying attention to. The end was good though. WORST REVIEW EVER. Gotta say, that's the worst review of anything I have ever heard. I would set myself on fire for you owns you all. seriously. bad name or not(i happen to like it). my score is for them. haha, awesome response kevin No. |
