The line was already stretched some where behind them amphitheater when I arrived at sometime after 11 am to attend the 2003 Vans Warped Tour. The line up wasn’t as good this year so I wasn’t expecting much from the day. Yes, there were bands I wanted to see, but if I didn’t, I could live with out. Please login or register to post comments. its a good thing so many fucking people commented on how the review sucked. who cares? its flogging a dead horse. It seems that the venues for the warped tour this year are a hell of alot better than last year. If there were a couple of bands from last years line-up on this year's then it would be perfect. Your review sucked everyone mentions how warped tour is going down hill, meanwhile i didnt go ths year, but last year was a vry strong line up: No use for a name, the mighty mighty bosstones, NOFX, anti flag, rxbandits, movielife, flogging molly, bad religion, reel big fish, I dont like them but thursday was there (who many people do like), and much more bands, so i dontthink thats a good arguement... I'd go to Warped if Burn was playing. The bands you chose to watch were mostly lame, this review is terrible. Sheena is no punk rocker. Why don't people actually post REVIEWS? A run down of the bands you saw and "they sucked" is not a review. Why did the band "suck?" Sure, you thought they sucked, but what made them suck to you when other people obviously liked them? i went to warped tour today and the suicide machines were so awesome. it beat the time i saw them before. do people still not understand that just because one person likes a certain band does not mean that the whole world must also like said band(and watch them at warped/comment on them) the beer comment was stating simply that you are a fucking moron if you have to drink to enjoy a show. if it is expensive... dont' fucking drink it and shut up. you will make it threw the day, as in, you won't die, if you don't drink the beer. not because it's bad for you... but simply because you will. you don't need it to survive. i hate you. holy, that had to be insane when Sick Of It All did the braveheart thing. i'd like to have been there for that. To the guy below mentioning the Suicide Machines/Braveheart thing, Sick of it All did something like that at Krazyfest last year during "Scratch the Surface"....it was nuts. yep a classic case on misinterpretation "beer is expensive? so don't drink it, you won't die..." "he saw talib on the smaller stage..." geez.. that was me that commented last. i went to warped tour today and the suicide machines were so awesome. it beat the time i saw them before. "The band order is usually decided for each different city. Bands that didn't headline the tour may headline it another night. Don't blame Sheena because you're late." Warped tour wasn't bad...I had fun, but there just wasn't as much to do as in previous years. I found myself sitting down waiting for a band I liked to come on way too many times in the day. Why didnt you see good bands ( save Suicide Machines ) The line up is actually not that bad. No way, it was funny. its obvious he's gained weight over the years. guess i committed the most fucked up of sins by making that observation. my bad. Lay off Trev, he's in his mid 30's. That's at least 15 years older than the average Punknews comment crowd. the transplants performance was absolutely awful. Has anyone catched the Transplants performance on the Snoop Dogg show the other night?? it's funny how people are constantly bashing the Warped Tour, YET STILL GO. easy on the ho hos? you fucking retard. does 10-20 lbs. affect his music? i don't think so, unless he has a heart attack on stage. why don't you shut the fuck up about the way trevor keith looks. dumb. really fucking dumb. Uhhh, so you liked ten bands but then in the last paragraph you say it sucked just to look cool? That's mighty dumb. DJ HiTek. Sorry. Oh, and Talib fucking rules. I highly reccomend "Black Star" (with Mos Def) or his album with DJ Tech. I believe its titled "Reflection Eternal". trevor has let himself go a bit, hasn't he? easy on the ho-ho's trev. You weren't really critical until the end of the review, up until then any reader would imagine you were having a good time. Quit trying to look cool by throwing in a little bit of bitching at the end. I usually like your reviews, but this was fucking WHACK. Your review sucked. You didn't mention that Rancid played early...I missed them, and Pennywise tore it up, and also nothing about the bands from the small stages. your friends must be retarded. i saw thrice's set in san diego and it was amazing. dustins voice was so freaking good and their songs came across really well acoustically. the whole crowd was singing along...it was a really cool contrast to the day. i am glad riley's better and back to drumming though! it's nice to see trever keith in "great" shape. just about the same as i saw him last time. thrice did an acoustic set? crooked edge is a retarded name for a band... Your review sucked. You didn't mention that Rancid played early...I missed them, and Pennywise tore it up, and also nothing about the bands from the small stages. And who can forget the $8 BEERS!! HOLY SHIT!! Bad enough the price of the show goes up every year but out there in Cali, if you drink beer, they rape your wallet with the prices!! I was pleased with Pennywise and look forward to having a great time for much cheaper this friday when warped tour rolls into St. Pete.If any of you go to the show this friday check out Crooked Edge and Concise on the local stage. Good to see local bands being exposed to bigger audiences. If it's a shitty show, then why should they post a glowing review? i agree with anonymous who said we should start screening these fucking bullshit reviews. horrible reviews by spoiled punk rock asswipes like sheena who couldn't really give a fuck about the show. and it really shows in the review. you guys really should start weeding out all these crappy reviews. The only reason to go is Destruction Made Simple, they're easily the best band on the tour. Dude. I'm so sick of seeing these shitty reviews by people who obviously couldn't care less about the shit they're writing about. The Warped line up definately doesn't look very strong this year. The only bands on it that I woiuld really like to see is Brand New, Glassjaw, The Suicide Machines, and of course Andrew WK. Fucking amazing live. Trevor looks constipated. I guess since this reviewer didn't mention Rancid, that they didn't play. I mean, why would a good reviewer forget to mention a headlinging band? Couldn't really tell that you didn't like it until the last paragraph. The rest was just who you saw and what they played bsd - whatever... different cities.. things change. Fuck, I wish Talib performed at my date. My old group opened for him a while back. yea and thrice didn't really impress me at all. Thats rather dissapointing to hear about the Suicide Machines, I thought they would blow people away. I'm looking forward to seeing them in a couple weeks though. Shitty, shitty review. Fitting for Warped Tour. Do we need this many to tell how bad it sucks? |
