Rounding out the last few dates, Warped Tour made its usual August stop in New York City to the obvious
delight of many. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
u r so stupid....all of those bads suck and except 4 motion city soundtrack...and i just think justin pierre is a hot and has a good voice but other than that those bands suck..this is i believe PUNKnews.org not EMOfucknew.org....y not talk about the other PUNK bands like maybe anti-flag, the casualties, the f-ups...anything that isnt obnoxious and whiny like emo music...it takes no talent 2 write about how u slit wrists cuz u cant get over the fact ur gf broke up w/ u...but punk is 4 ppl who think 4 themselves and stand up 4 things that they believe in and are important...so do the world a favor and go kill yourself...then u can die a TRUE emo. this warped tour was prolly my favorite in the 4 years ive gone. if anyone is interested i took some pictures of the Suicide Machines & the ice cream truck incident, GlassJaw, and the High School Football Heroes: Go Devils! I'm more of a Pens fan actually, but there isn't much to cheer about there. 39 Rancid Montreal Warped Tour pics (taken by myself): "Poisonthesink , the Bruins are that much better than the Flyers. anyone who went, did you catch all of ptw's set? i heard most of it except the first few openers, what were they? Poisonthesink , the Bruins are that much better than the Flyers. "your an emo fag, face it" can't bands dedicate songs to stuff... such as "hockey" when the song isn't actually about that? i'm sure the band probably had about 50 or 60 guiness' in 'em by that time. so you just dedicate a song to whoever/whatever you fucking want. your an emo fag, face it Oh and the score is for the Hey Arnold reference "dkm do have hockey songs, or at least one, the bruins fight song or whatever. in philly they said 'flyers suck!" before playing it. fuckin hot. " A) YooHoo is fucking amazing Are you like eleven. The whole day you were,"haulin or tearin ass." You were so exhausted you retreated to the "YooHoo truck." This is "punk" at it's worst. (Do you want to trade some garbage pale kid stickers?) Too bad dashboard confessional wasn't at warped. They are great Maybe Tim was having more vocal problems? Who knows...but Lyman kicked em off ONLY because of no room, he is a fucking moron. rise against wasn't playing because there wasn't enough room for them on the volcom stage bill. it's beyond me why they would be the ones to get kicked off as opposed to one of the lesser-known bands. "i listen to as much dkm as you say you do, but then how can you be so sure it's not about hockey?" dkm do have hockey songs, or at least one, the bruins fight song or whatever. in philly they said 'flyers suck!" before playing it. fuckin hot. "The mark of someone covering a band that they don't listen to: trying to understand onstage banter. The Murphys introduced this song as being about hockey's New York Rangers. I don't know what song it was (I only know DKM songs from comps I have) but it wasn't actually about hockey." "We left the area, returning later to scope out the end of the Dropkick Murphys' barroom brawl set, and their song about the New York Rangers." whats the story with rise against being booted off? "We left the area, returning later to scope out the end of the Dropkick Murphys' barroom brawl set, and their song about the New York Rangers." This is the best review for warped. Definitely, the others arent too good. Well, who said Catholics weren't Christians? confession booths are for catholics smarty pants Ok the punknews agreed to stop posting warped reviews. thats only because THERE ARE NO MORE WARPED SHOWS LEFT, dipshit. i too was shocked about the wk-bomb not playing. and hearing that rise against wasn't playing. i thought thrice was awesome, but they were the only band i really enjoyed. coheed was pretty good, considering they had a half hour set. when claudio whipped his hat off in the breakdown of junesong provision and his fro exploded, that was fucking cool. i watched ltj and pennywise for nostalgia's sake but wasn't really impressed (except with ltj's confetti/streamers bonanza at the end of their set). it was a decent day. at least i won't be coughing up dust for a week, but my shoes look shat upon. That's why he's doing a record release show at Irving Plaza September 9th buddy. The High School Football Heroes were unbelieveable at Warped. I picked up their cd and its sick too. Definately a high quality band that more people should know about. what the fuck?! no andrew wk?! he wrote a song about how he loves nyc, then he skips it on the tour..thats some shit enough with the warped tour reviews..............we get it already. 'cute without the e'? i dont get it.. well i din't go. i felt the lineup wasn't strong enough for me. but still seeing Big D, Thrice, Suicide Machines, and MCS would've been good. oh well, here's to a better warped tour next year. "Actually they never closed with it except for the March/April 2003 tour. Before then, they always closed with "No I In Team" or "Great Romances"" http://public.fotki.com/viceroy/warped_tour_2003/ "it was shocking they played "cute w/o the e" not because they played it, but because it was the fourth song they played. they used to close w/ that all the time, lately it's been more reserved to the middle of the set for some odd reason." Someone actually watched the Motion City Soundtrack! Woo! it was shocking they played "cute w/o the e" not because they played it, but because it was the fourth song they played. they used to close w/ that all the time, lately it's been more reserved to the middle of the set for some odd reason. nice glassjaw comment... glassjaw fucking killed and yes they did play mu empire. i didnt enjoy brand new or thrice sorry to say ive seen them do better. tbs rocked. mcs is great and there nice guys. the suicide machines were good even though i dont really listen to them. overall it was a fun day I thought Less Than Jake was really good. and the suicide machines also said this was the best crowd of warped. I think it might have been, especially because of the ice cream truck. And TBS, they only played three songs, cute without the E, that really pop one with the boys and dime a dozen, and than all the rest. Everything sounds the same that they play. Suicide Machines were hands down the best band of the day, that I saw. Good pictures below, I remember seeing you take those during Big D and The Toasters. Whew! Finally another Warped Tour review, I was fiendin' for a fix. yer review was pretty crappy. i took some pics: on TBS I was there and I must say, I fucking hate Truckerhats. The John Deere, and Hunting hats are retarded. holy shit, a wall of death to an ice cream truck? fucking awesome. we fucked up the rancid crowd in detroit with it, but that sounds cool as hell. why does it seem like everyone sees the exact same bands? The lineup does change between dates you know... i wish a lot of these bands were in cincinnati.... oh well, i wanna know about that rise against deal, they got kicked off the last couple dates? anyone know anything about this?? |
