I have been listening to this cd non stop since the first time I ever heard it almost three years ago. This cd is awesome punk from begining to end! The lyrics are thoughtful, and every song on this cd is a masterpiece. Some of my favorite songs are "going blind", "set free", "my annie", "homecoming", and "who am I". Actually I love every song and I think that anyone that likes bands like lagwagon, face to face, and strung out should check out this cd. I cant imagine living without this cd, and niether should you! Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
A good cd, it's nice and fast and aggressive and intense as well. The singer's voice sound's a bit like Joey Cape (Lagwagon). But that isn't a bad thing at all. Pretty good album fathead are you in a coma, do you even know what you're talking about? I love Lagwagon and Criag's Brother, but the album "Homecoming" is so much better than anything Lagwagon has ever put out, and i own 4 lagwagon albums. Crag's Brother's vocals are better, guitar's are better. This may be my favorite punk album of all time and that's saying alot. Lagwagon is 10x the band craig's sister will ever be, jack ass.- fathead "Ok, here's a really bad foundation for a band: nothing by ghoti hook has been or ever will be 'amazing'. they are a really mediocre band, just craig's mom or whoever. do you really think this is a Christian band? Have you gone to their web site? And what CD were you listening to when you heard all the lyrics about Jesus, or did you even listen to it? Their songwriting is great. And as for a great Christian band, listen to "Two Years To Never" by Ghoti Hook. that was one of the best CDs released in 2000, its amazing. i bought this cd at a pawn shop, listened to it for a month, taped the two good songs, and sold it back to the pawn shop. I'm still waiting for that ever elusive 'awesome christian punk band'. When I first bought this CD, I thought, "Great, another Lagwagon ripoff band", but after listening to it again and again, it grew on me. The singing could get annoying after a while, but the music is pretty tight. "My Annie" and "In Memory" are the two best songs in the album. It's a great CD to listen to while you're driving around. Too bad this band has since broken up, and their swang song, which was only their second release, wasn't as good as Homecoming. Not bad listening to a Christian Band play straight forward punk music without the mention of God in it. I don't mind that at all, but others who do could listen to it with no complaints. A great record to have if you're a fan of fast paced melodic punk. Ok, here's a really bad foundation for a band: i remember liking this cd when i first bought it at the christian bookstore. i soon tired of the band as a whole : lack of touring, not much new music over the last few years, and the departure of their strongest writer in my opinion, and their best guitarist. their new band too bad eugene is decent, as pop punk goes. after reading this review i got the cd out and listened to it twice through. here's what i thought. there is some good melody, lines, but the ted's voice isn't great. one of the guitars is constantly playing octaves, which is cool sometimes, but seems over done, and placed to high in the mix. the drums are decent, except for the bass petal. i'm stoked to see a drummer playing with a single petal-i hate it when punk bands use a double..and if you practice you cna get the exact effect with a single-but he hardly plays the same beat repeatedly. it's sloppy. bass is good, and when adam, one of the ex guitarists (wrote the song "my annie") sings, it's great...ted goes kind of flat at the end of phrases. it's a decent CD, but it's not that great. they sound like lagwagon i guess, but lagwagon is a decent band in every respect. the new crag's brother cd just doesn't sound that great either with their best part gone. this is my opinion. |

But this cd is nowhere as good as anything Lagwagon has put out. Craig's Brother is good, but Lagwagon is amazing, see Lagwagon live, and you'll understand.
