On their debut full-length ‘Suppress & Restrain’ the sophomore effort ‘Down And Out’ appeared in 2001 Finland’s Wasted pack some highly energetic, aggressive, yet catchy streetpunk into fifteen charged tracks. The foursome’s riotous, straight-from-the-gutter sound is a fusion of late ‘70s/early ‘80s U.K. punk and American hardcore. Please login or register to post comments. Wow J....thats like 4 in a row. You really like talking to yourself. "1. Was the reviewer wasted when he/she reviewed the album?" I'm guessing that comment about the ways this review could be made better were by the one and only SUPERDUDE. Yeah, it's on How Could Hell Be Any Worse... Yes, actually I always pick out that line cos it reminds me of BAD RELIGION, I don't know...! Isn't 'mankind's quest for dominance' a really old Bad Religion lyric? Like, 80-85 old. This review was good, but here's how I would make it better: Yay! Me and Vandal have sorted our "discrepancies" and if we do battle in the future, we know it's all in good fun. Thats because BSD owns all, don't forget, kid! Hahaha. Thankys Janelle, your ok yourself. Im the voice of dissent? Thats odd. BSD always said I was a rascist emo kid. But, just letting you know that despite the fact I feel you get a bit too enthused on some bands, you are one of the few people who actually makes the punk in this sites title make any sort of sense. So despite my gripes I salute you and your street punk ways! VANDAL!!! Thank you! No sarcasm, really, you're cool. I like the voices of dissent, and if anyone would come to my aid to slander me and/or my work it is you! We have something special, you and I! I really did ask for it though, didn't I? This sucks and so do you! Maybe I'll curse myself, but not too much hate mail this time around. Things are looking up... You must not know very much about street punk, then... A post-1980s, seemingly intelligent street punk band. I'm speechless. Good review, guess I'll have to check this out too. Good review! I downloaded some songs by these guys... Nothing new, but really energetic. wish I could say the same |
