At first look, many more ignorant readers may overlook the band "From Ashes Rise" due to it's name....which sounds like it would fit right in with the current flood of "screamo/emo/watever" stuff that I (and most of you) are getting oh so sick of. Fucking Amazing!" ya know, i used to listen to good charlotte, simple plan shit. then i heard the song "reaction" the intensity and passion of the song was incredible. it woke something up inside of me. amazing album. This album rocks like a hurricane. Here's a photo I took when they played here a couple of days ago; "i dont get whats so great about this...." i dont get whats so great about this.... Baically, this Album kills me whenever I listen to it which has made me dead 7 times today, Ide like to see a cat beat that!.... that was gay. Anyways, GnR are cool in thier own right,even though they are long gon... but not dangerous at all, who the hell says that shit anyways? But... Converge blows...so does Dillinger Escape Plan. The only good band with John Dillingers name in it is Dillinger Four.... "Escape Plan" cant even hold "FOURS" Jock.... and who mentioned From Autom To Ashes.... WORST BAND EVER!!!! Besides that... Good Riddance is the best band ever, and From Ashes Rise is awesome too, give some love for Rise Against, Against Me, and With Honor.... I know all the squatters and crustys are big time Blink and GC fans, what will we do about it? Maybe lock them in a room and blast testosterone-layered rock through some speakers. Wow, just keeps getting cooler. i love punk rock but if you honestly dont realize that there was more talent in guns n roses han any band ever reviewed on this site then you are obviously not a musician and you are also stupid. from ashes rise is a good band but 10 years from now no one will remember or care about them. i dont know why im even writing this, the person downtalking gnr is probably a blink 182 fan who has never been laid. gnr was the last dangerous band period, no band reviewed on this shitty site can compare, unless fugazi has been reviewed, fugazi is sick. but you morons probly dont listen to them because you are under the impression that good charrolette is punk. converge are really bad. plaease dont compare them to from ashes rise ever again. thank you "3) What is your favorite distro/mailorder?" ! *to be tossing Hahah! I saw them once live back in '87 when i was in high school and what a horrible live show....but now that they're long dead (well...in their original form lol) who gives a damn? Screamo and Hardcore ROCK!!! Are they related to From Autumn to Ashes? I love them theyre soo hardcore... launch.com is pretty good radio, i'm listening right now and the 5 last songs i've heard has been minor threat, shai hulud, hot water music, deathcab for cutie and the descendents. GISM! I remember hearing them a long time ago when sonicnet used to have that thing where you could make your own radio station. They actually had a diverse and quality selection of bands too. I agree with the list of bands that people have been posting, I just recently started getting into the scene I guess you could say. I want to mention some good japanese hc/crust stuff too like GISM, D.S.B., Death Side, etc. all really good imo, anyone recommend any others? I think I've listened to all the stuff mentioned except DS-13, thanks. Varukers don't suck. the Varukers suck, but Arrested Development were really talented. Speech's solo career never really took off though. I've heard of I Quit!, but to be honest I have never actually listened to them. If they are anything like DS-13 then I will shit my pants. To the guy three or four posts below me... Wow, lots of people into hardcore on this thread. Awesome. Okay, while we are all here...may I have a show of hands? Yeah, His Hero Is Gone and skitsystem great idea! Wow, I just realized all of the albums I haven't listened to in a while! I've been alternating between the Varukers and Arrested Development (lol)! This is an amazing fucking album. Like someone previously had said, if you like these guys check out Tragedy, World Bruns to Death, His Hero is gone, Totalitar, DS-13, Los Crudos, Deaththreat, and really anything of the Swedish harcore variety like Skitsystem. and to continue my thread, BSD - in the first interview we talk about the mighty DISCHARGE ooh and in the first link i put, they discuss their name a bit and how they came BEFORE all the bullshit... these guys are fuckin awesome...i've done it before, but for those who missed it (and care) here are a couple interviews with them: no, you should just listen to those two mp3s over and over again. if i downloaded the 2 songs of theirs from jade tree, and i liked them, should i buy this cd? If I could give this album a score higher than 10, it would get that! Thank the powers (long may they hold court; long may they shit light on the heads of the damned) for a new hardcore rekkid. Thank the powers that the record is also of the good and just sort. Chalk this fucker up with the Caustic Christ LP, Municipal Waste LP, and the fucking Yacopsae/sanity's dawn split as the best of the year. Word up in this! Amazing album, but a fairly weak review. Do people even research their reviews before writing them? Hope Conspiracy and Converge?? FAR have NOTHING in common with those bands. And they have two vocalists. They are not a new band, this is simply just the newest album. This is probably in my top ten for the year, great stuff... amazing hardcore band, youd didn't mention ETID in the hardcore acts that you have been into though, you should check out hot damn , their latest, it's really really good. I agree. The magnificent drumming should also be noted... Brilliant... Double guitar hardcore, and political. Great shizz. GREAT CD. One of the songs sounds like "Decontrol" by Discharge. |
