This Runs Through were one of the only standout metalcore bands around until their singer left to sing for Underoath, and that coupled with their bassist leaving broke the band up for good. We are left with this EP as their only release that shows just how good things could have been. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
THis band is amazing, i seriously wish they would have come out with a full lenght. THat would have been amazing THis band is amazing, i seriously wish they would have come out with a full lenght. THat would have been amazing TRT's drummer, Phil, who is also spencer's older brother is in a rock band called Sullivan now. www.sullivancares.com Twat cant you make a comment about any type of music akin to that? Scream, sing, scream, sing, scream, sing. 1 1=2, abc. FUCK THIS SHIT. YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE. "A solid cd, and definately some nice guys, but calling them "one of the only standout metalcore bands" is a bit of a stretch, and by a bit i mean a whole lot. This runs through plays gereic metalcore, but they play it very well and have some interesting hooks, but thats where it ends. I would compare them more to unearth of premonitions of war, I think that hopesfall has a way stronger sense of melody (especially on their last two cds) and are not as metal influenced. They are on facedown, which means they are the "jesus saves" type, but its not very overt in the music. Good band, great guys." i agree an awesome record on an awesome label what does "when forever finds me" mean? does that even remotely make sense? (this is the same guy as the third post) Yea I saw them with evelynn in houston and they are alot of fun live. Im sad they broke up, even though ive heard the new underoath stuff and it sounds really good with spencer. I'll be reviewing the new RN too, Scott really hooked me up. I like the new RN a lot better than their other stuff, and their remarks about how they contributed to downfall of hardcore are really surprising. Well, they are from this area, and I saw them alot before they broke up, and through their live show they became one of my favorite bands. Trust me, I have seen alot of metalcore bands and TRT definately stand out, at least live. The record could be better but for an EP I think it's great. At least your not a dumbass and actually explained your opinion instead of tagging "metalcore sucks ass" on here haha. I already reviewed the new Jealousy Issue, and a review of Casey Jones is coming. I really want to hear this record, nothing has touched the new Casey Jones or the new A Jealousy Issue, I hope scott and co. review both of them here. You know I can't stand metalcore type stuff, but I never minded this band. Good to see it reviewed, anyway.
