To be honest I probably wouldn't have heard of this band if they hadn't stayed at my house after playing with Sick Of It All. Let's face it, if you're playing with Sick Of It All you had best bring the rock and I gotta say these guys do in fact "bring the rock". Jesse, the singer, kind of sounds like Thomas from Strike Anywhere at times and a little like Daryl from Glassjaw (I think in future recordings his voice will develop and sound even better). Sonically, these guys are pretty good. Some dual leads here and there and some double bass breakdowns but not so much so that it just sounds like the band is trying to be "metal".

Anyway, the music sounds like, dare I say it? Thrice. But this stuff is faster and more cirlce pit-esque, maybe because this is a younger band and they are just out to kick ass. Good points? Well, I'm listening to the record right now and there's a nice breakdown at the end of "Casual Tragedy" and the lyrics speak for themselves, "Want a picture of what it meant to me? I'd paint it just for you to see. Want a picture of what it meant to me? I'll paint this fucker in blood." Daddy like. Low points? Jesse's voice could use a little more 'deadly'.

This is a very impressive debut cd and from what I saw a pretty tight live show. Definitely a disc worth checking out and a band to keep your eyes on.

They randomly sent me this cd with my amp subscription. Like, they automatically send you 2 free CD's of your choice. Then they just stuck this in as a bonus or something. It's got the insert and everything. I can't get over it. And contrary to the other posters, I didn't think it was a bad review.

I saw this band with SOIA...they sound like total shit live...maybe they were having a bad night I dunno? the singer fell twice..the drummer kept busting the snare (3 times) and then fucked up most precious bloods snare. and the bassist hit himself in the head...with his own fucking guitar. They did some excersize shit on stage...just plain crappy. My vote of the show goes to love is red and MPB and SOIA of course. I havent heard the recorded shit yet...maybe my mind will change.

here goes: I wasn't at the soia show, i had to work. I come home and my roommate says this band's coming over cause they don't have a place to stay. So yes indeed, they did just show up at my door. The footage I've seen of the band was from their home movies. What's wrong with the review itself?

Yes you would have, you saw them play at the Sick Of It All show. It's not like they just randomly showed up at your door and wanted a place to stay. Seems to me you just wanted to throw in that you had a group of young men stay with you.

how can you describe the lead singer as having a glassjaw/strike anywhere sound? Both bands have rather different vocals...
