Sonic Boom Six may appear to be your typical ska-core band playing a mix of politically and socially aware songs but they are so much more. They set themselves apart from the horde of other bands in “the scene” by not playing bland and repetitive hardcore. They are not only being original, mixing forms of hip-hop and ragga into their music, but are also brimming with talent and natural diversity which creates a form of ska-core that can appeal to more than just Household Name fans. In my view. i thought ska was interesting when it was new, when bands like capdown were just getting a reputation and now look at it!! nice videos being watched by 10 year olds who watch scuzz,MTV and all that crap there are so many bands like this know that it just isnt exiting anymore. so to blame anyone balme the bandwagon jumpers they everything bleeding it dry till there's nothing left. I did see these live and they were better than most ska bands. Um.... Ska is great. Just not the new style bullshit. Ska isnt dead...it's just really sick. Luckily, bands like this bring life back into it. this is actually really good. I usually don't like female vocals but for some reason I enjoy this particualr singer. I'll definitely have to check this out. I love skacore and there aren't many good skacore bands around right now so i'm happy to see this review. |
