The God Awfuls are pissed. Hey, but can you blame them with the state of the world today? Yeah, didn’t think so. Well, out of this dissolution and frustration comes some fun, rebellious, upbeat punk (mostly) in the vein of River City Rebels and Madcap (see the opener “Disconnected Youth”, “Power Animal”, “East Side One” with its great vocal harmonies, and the anthemic “Orion”). good album this album sucks. so boring. trust me, its not even worth 6 bucks at the used store. kinda like Rancid before they started to suck. This band kick ass...CD is great! Can't wait for warped tour so i can see them live. The score is for insincere scott. confidential to the girl talking about chris: The only problem I have with this CD is the version of "Dissconnected Youth" that put on this album. This version is slow and more poppier. The other version I have heard was fast, in your face, better lyrics, and about 1:15 longer. Besides that it is a great CD. slaughter me? ive eaten bitches like her for breakfast! besides, hes only with her cuz he hasnt met me! best cd EVER! and chris la fave is SO HOT!!!! i love them. i love what they have to say. every song is amazing.every lyric gets me right in the heart.and i love chris.love him. River City Rebels and Madcap?!?! Hey wow a punk band is reviewed here and a good one too..wow That cover art is really deep and meaningful. A great album I thought. Recommended if you like One Man Army, Swinging Utters, and Madcap. Really solid. If this is their first release...I look forward to the future. Judhging by that mp3, this cd sounds like it really really shouldn't have been released. "the exhiliration a child feels from knocking over a stack of blocks" kind of sounds like the utters "i always thought that punk was about voicing anger for the crumbling world that we live in." anyway, it's not like i gave 'em a bad review...i agree with their sentiments - i thought that was clear???! Yes, I know voicing dissent has been a staple of punk. True punk. You're preaching to the converted, my fellow...I'm just saying that since the whole "war on terror" - it seems to be more mainstream - when I wrote that last paragraph, I had something about S.T.U.N. in there but for some reason it's not there (see, i feel they're not genuine). That's the thing. Some people seem to be doing it to jump on the bandwagon or something...does not anyone else see this???? i always thought that punk was about voicing anger for the crumbling world that we live in. it was a voice for the viocless, the angy youth of the world, just as tade unions act as a voice for the exploited workers. another reason why emo should be abolished. quite your fucking whinning about being sad and sing and get a fucking grip. there are a million things that you could write about, some are very relevant, and you chose to express how much you cry yourself to bed because the girl in your high school art class dosnt like you. fuck off. punk needs band like this one to represent the spirit and anger of todays youth. and to say that is a trend, this has always been a staple within the punk culture. im going to listen to reagan youth and born against, propagandhi and mdc. I've been waiting for this since Kung Fu posted two of their demos. It's a damn shame I have to work everyday this week right after school, so I won't be to get it until a minimum of next week. “They’re selling flags and spinning lies/While sending someone else’s sons to die.” Between this and Underminded, Kung Fu seems to be mixing up their roster a bit more as of late... | Features
