I found out about these guys in late Fall/early Winter of 2003 when I saw them with Straylight Run. Not knowing what to expect, I found a band full of energy and catchy songs. The band was quite unique also by adding some alt./country sound to their music, the acoustic guitar (along with the electrics) added a nice touch, also. After going to that show when I got home I looked these guys up on the internet to find that they were just an acoustic band at first. The acoustic guitar sounds like it is meant to be one of the key instruments on the record. On the record they had different people do different instruments since it was only two people in the band at the time of the recording, including Josh Freese on drums. I love it, I've been listening to the CD on repeat for two days so far, and usu. I can't stand listening to a CD more then three times in a row. There's finally a band ou tthere that speaks to me, and their songs/lyrics are real..... yeah the format is awesome, but Switchfoot sucks...sorry but to call them rock is an insult. This CD is incredibly awsome and are sooo amazing. I first saw them leading in for Switchfoot...they rock!!! If you've never listened you must because u'd really be missing out on some amazing and wonderful music. i LOVE the format. i saw them open for something corporate and the RX bandits back in november, and WOW. i was so blown away they are SO great. i instantly fell in love with them and got their cd, and i love every song on it. id DEFINATLY reccomend it. I saw these guys open for yellowcard and something corporate. Although yellowcard completely stole the show, these guys caught my attention. They put on a fucking great show and everyone should respect that. underrated. great album. good circular argument...now am i supposed to say "you don't know that they are NOT nice though...so YOU are making assumptions..." i, my poor, unhappy friend, don't like to go through life assuming peope are assholes before i meet them...i never said they were nice...and you are right i am not "sure" they are not assholes...i just don't base the possibility that they are on the fact that they make music i am not a fan of. how are you sure that they're not pieces of shit? a lot of people are. the guys in this band might be the biggest assholes ever. you don't know that they're nice. I think YOU'RE making assumptions. you2 below me are full time idiots and pieces of shit and this cd sucks like you mtv whore "they are pieces of shit like their fans" they are pieces of shit like their fans i really dislike the format, just personally. i saw these guys open for the rxbandits and they blew me away live. awesome band. their recorded stuff does no justice to their live show. this is an awesome album though wow, that last comment failed to make any sense what so ever! The fact that this band can't write enough songs for a fan to like the entire album says a lot. Boo-urns. Work on your reviews. Elaborate. good album, better live band. they gave me the warm and fuzzies. oh, and blew yellowcard out of the water. but yellowcard's new album blows. Solid album. They'll make better ones, though, in the future. "The First Single" was on their EP a few years ago that our radio station played the hell out of. saw these guys once again on sunday and turned out to be the best show ive now ever seen live. their ep and full length dont even compare to most other bands. the format own your face! this is so lame i had to throw it out and put in Those Unknown |
