Whether you like them or not, you have to admit that Less than Jake puts on a good show. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
i only read it cuz i was courious how an ltj fan feels about the early november (shitty emo bands like this in general). i think they are both god awful but i just needed to know. if you dont care about the band then why are you reading the review? get a life "people still care about this band?" "the bad religion tour back in the day?! how old are you, 14?" "Florida should just sink, but while Hot Water Music and Against Me! are on tour." the bad religion tour back in the day?! how old are you, 14? Less Than Jake is another one of these bands where people will always say they like their older stuff better because its the "more punk" thing to say. omg the new bad religion is amazing =D To the person who posted their ultimate LTJ set, if they played that set at a show, i'd demand a refund, but that's just me! i thought the concert was worth every dime i think i have never felt so joshin i loved the show and cant wait to see them again The new Guttermouth is incredible; they sound like Strike Anywhere now. who's fucking ultimate ltj setlist would that be? a thirteen year old girl's? i fucking hope so. anthem wasn't much to talk about and neither was borders and boundaries. if they ever played a show where they only played two songs from losing streak, johnny quest being one of them and i think we've all seen that one played enough times, i think a riot might break out. if it didn't, i'd help start one. in conclusion...you suck. My ultimate LTJ setlist: "people still care about this band?" people still care about this band? To the person who pointed out my mistakes from the orlando show: I was really fucked up during that show, so whenever the band played "Hello Rockview" "Borders and Boundaries" or "Anthem" tracks, I imagined them playing other songs! You should have been at my LTJ concert, it was much better! Al's War kicks ass bitch! Al's War is a shitty song. They need to put "Mike Sinkovich" back into their set, I haven't heard them play it inlike four years here! when i saw them they played a new song to from the new cd coming out july i think they said?? as well as 2 dvds and a b-sides record coming out soon... anyway i didnt totally dig the new song, it wasnt bad, but its hard to tell when you only hear it live they added dopeman to their set on their last headling touring last november. people request Dopeman cause they pretty much never play it live. They've even said they don't play it live anymore. They have a new bassist since the last time I saw them, and he seemed like a huge dork. it's funny, i could have written the exact same review for their show in new haven. except they didn't play scott farcas, and i'm very jealous because that is my favorite ltj song (except maybe out of the crowd). i didn't realize grover dill was actually touring with them...they're locals around here so i figured the venue just asked them to play for the one night of the tour. that's cool though, i guess. they're not very good, but there are plenty of worse bands. 1. Yes, LTJ has been touring with shitty bands lately. Why didn't they play 'she's gonna break (soon?)'? I saw the LTJ/EN show when it came through Columbus, OH and It was the worst performance I had ever seen Less Than JAke put on. They played with very little energy and they seemed like they were trying way too hard to appeal to the "poppy" side of the crowd. Wierd though, I saw them in November in Cincinnati and It was probably one of the best shows I've ever seen, and they played a lot of old shit (old=good). Hopefully it was just an off night for the band. And I second the motion of Less than Jake needing to stop touring with piece of shit bands like this. "You should quit... Losing Streak and rockview are the best but all their cd's have solid songs. their live show is second to none. You should quit... I have never enjoyed a Less Than Jake show. I used to enjoy them, but since I first saw them in 97 when Blink 182 OPENED for them, they always came off as quite boring. Back in the day? wasn't the bad religion tour like 2 years ago? or am i just getting old? i'm surprised they didn't plan history of a boring town. Must have been at a different Orlando show than I ... No "Down In The Mission" at the Social Parking Lot --- er, Pavillion. Yeah, LTJ always puts on a great show. I was disappointed in no "My Very Own Flag" at Orlando as well, but it's not like they haven't played it ad infinitum for the past 10 yrs. They play Al's War all the time live. Last year on Warped Tour they closed with it every other day. They have too many good songs...they can't play them all. O hyeah, I don't think i've ever heard them do "Al's war" and I've only heard them play "My Very Own Flag" like once in the 12 times I've seen them! I don't like less than jake, and i don't admit that they put on a good show. and yes, i've seen them. Sounds like pretty much the same set from the orlando show (except they didn't play "scott farcas" and they did play "down in the mission". Anyhow, I thought "Dopeman" sounded fine live. |
