Whether you like them or not, you have to admit that Less than Jake puts on a good show.

I arrived slightly late to the show and missed most of Grover Dill, the opening band's set. From what I heard they were pretty solid, but nothing too creative musically. Overall I'd say they were a mediocre opening band.

The Reunion Show came on slightly after Grover Dill left the stage. I've seen them twice before and have never been too impressed. They have a new bassist since the last time I saw them, and he seemed like a huge dork. They played mostly new songs, which were very different from their older stuff, making their set very inconsistent. Nothing too special.

The Early November came on next. I've never liked the Early November, and they are a strange choice to go on tour with Less than Jake. Their set was pretty tight, and the stage presence was very good, but I just don't enjoy their music personally.

Finally, Less than Jake came onto the stage. They started off with Plastic Cup Politics from their latest album Anthem. I thought this was a weird choice for a opener, but it was great nonetheless because it's my favorite song off the album. Next, they played Last One Out of Liberty City followed by Johnny Quest. Everything was great. The vocals, drumming, and instruments were all tight. They proceeded to play the first two songs from Anthem, Welcome to the New South directly followed by the Ghosts of You and Me. The rest of their set was mainly comprised of Losing Streak material suprisingly including Happyman, 9th at Pine, Automatic, Sugar in your Gas Tank, Shindo, and Lockdown (which I've never heard them play). They even played Dopeman, but it wasn't that great live, and I don't understand why everyone always requests it. Other songs included the Science of Selling Yourself Short, Escape from the A-bomb House, Help Save the Youth of American from Exploding, All my Best Friends are Metalheads, Scott Farcas Takes it on the Chin, Anchor (which was awesome), Mr. Chevy Celebrity, and the Last hour of the last day of work (which was very suprising). Chris proceeded to play The Brightest Bulb has Burned Out by himself, and the rest joined in with Roger playing guitar and Buddy playing bass for Screws Fall Out. During this song, they seemed to really enjoy playing and the crowd in turn sang their guts out. Immediately after they left everyone starting chanting Less than Jake, and 2 minutes later they returned to stage to play Look What Happened and Gainesville Rock City for the encore.

Less than Jake's performance was amazing. The only flaws were their encore was way too predictable, and they didn't play Al's War, History of a Boring Town, or My own flag. Otherwise, I cannot understand why Less than Jake has been going on tour with such shitty bands lately - ie. Early November, Yellowcard, Good Charlotte, etc.. I wish they would tour with older bands, like the Bad Religion tour back in the day. Less than Jake's set still made up for it and certainly made the show worth the 18 bucks.

Less Than Jake is another one of these bands where people will always say they like their older stuff better because its the "more punk" thing to say.

I'm not bashing their old stuff....I like it, but I like the newer stuff better.

who's fucking ultimate ltj setlist would that be? a thirteen year old girl's? i fucking hope so. anthem wasn't much to talk about and neither was borders and boundaries. if they ever played a show where they only played two songs from losing streak, johnny quest being one of them and i think we've all seen that one played enough times, i think a riot might break out. if it didn't, i'd help start one. in conclusion...you suck.

To the person who pointed out my mistakes from the orlando show: I was really fucked up during that show, so whenever the band played "Hello Rockview" "Borders and Boundaries" or "Anthem" tracks, I imagined them playing other songs! You should have been at my LTJ concert, it was much better!

    Al's War kicks ass bitch!

Guttermouth fucking blows ass. I don't give a fuck what they sound like now, because they've always just reminded me of a harder(but not by much, I tell ya) Blink 182. As I said before, (and you're probably the same damn kid I said it to) SHIT SANDWICH!

it's funny, i could have written the exact same review for their show in new haven. except they didn't play scott farcas, and i'm very jealous because that is my favorite ltj song (except maybe out of the crowd). i didn't realize grover dill was actually touring with them...they're locals around here so i figured the venue just asked them to play for the one night of the tour. that's cool though, i guess. they're not very good, but there are plenty of worse bands.

    My Score:

    1. Yes, LTJ has been touring with shitty bands lately.
    2. It gets worse, they're coming to Phoenix with Projekt Revolution ( SNOOP DOGG, LINKIN PARK, KORN, and THE USED)
    3. On a positive note, thats SO AMAZING that they played Automatic, happyman, and 9th and pine.. those have always been three of my favorite jake tunes, (ive only seen automatic been played, and only once out of the three times i've seen them)

I saw the LTJ/EN show when it came through Columbus, OH and It was the worst performance I had ever seen Less Than JAke put on. They played with very little energy and they seemed like they were trying way too hard to appeal to the "poppy" side of the crowd. Wierd though, I saw them in November in Cincinnati and It was probably one of the best shows I've ever seen, and they played a lot of old shit (old=good). Hopefully it was just an off night for the band. And I second the motion of Less than Jake needing to stop touring with piece of shit bands like this.

I have never enjoyed a Less Than Jake show. I used to enjoy them, but since I first saw them in 97 when Blink 182 OPENED for them, they always came off as quite boring.
Onto their discography, Pezcore and Losing Streak are solid, Hello Rockview had some decent at best tracks, and the last two albums completely blow.
    They should quit.

Must have been at a different Orlando show than I ... No "Down In The Mission" at the Social Parking Lot --- er, Pavillion. Yeah, LTJ always puts on a great show. I was disappointed in no "My Very Own Flag" at Orlando as well, but it's not like they haven't played it ad infinitum for the past 10 yrs.
