I've never been a huge fan of New Found Glory. Nor have I ever been a huge fan of the more mainstream and pop orientated punk rock bands around. Therefore, I didn't have high expectations for the new New Found Glory full-length, entitled Catalyst. However, this album took me by surprise. I was forced to swallow my pride, and to accept that this album actually is rather good.

Awsome!!! i think nfg fuckin rule. catalyst is a great album Nirvana is on the radio i just wanted everyone to know that. lithium. kevin and bean. oh new found glory was at warped tour 2004 at cal state fullerton. i got some pix. they rock chad should be lead singer. i mean jordan is great but chad isn't nasley and whinney. and to who ever said who would sing through therye nose more billy corgan or jordan pundik it would be jordan. and sometimes jordan looks so much like quentin terintinno i rub my eyes in disbelief. jordan sure makes some funny lokin faces if you hate new found glory so fuckin much stay out of nfg sites you stupid posers. who the hell cares if they are not punk enough? just don't listen to them stupid asses! and you know what the ramones weren't that punk etheir. wow they wrote a song about shenna is a punk rocker! wow hard fuckin' core! i don't waste my time in web sites i hate! nfg rock!!! the clash are the only old punk band that rock, Nivana rock so much! kurt cobain ( RIP) had problems with you stupid morons who thought nirvana weren't the right punk and what he did is start grunge. bands LIKE nfg are doin the same thing by starting pop-punk. lay off the whole they suck issue and respect them for doin what they luv! Catatlyst is by far the best NFG cd! i love the cd. i love the music videos. everything is good in my book. Great cd, released right before summer. Always the cd my friends and I reach for when driving to the beach. How many dicks would I need in my mouth to sound exactly like Jordan? I liked the video they did where Troma fucked them up. I would have prefered to see Jordan get his arms ripped off by a gorrilla and beaten with them until he past out from lack of blood. Than the gorrilla would piss all over him - that would have been better - keep up the great work boys I can't wait to see you at the Warp tour. It´s like... mm This CD is much different then there other CD's.. I think it offers a more matured NFG but if you say it's not punk.. then your right. NFG has never been punk well not the punk as the "punks" refer to. This is MTV punk or pop-punk as some like to call it. It's a good CD and I recoomend most of you to take the time and sit down and listen to it. Its catchy and very rythmetic. P.S. I would sell out too if I had the chance. I don't have a problem with pop punk even if the said pop punk may have sold out. With that said I would like to say this CD is bad and NFG is slowly heading the way of screamo. And I'm being kind, because they're certainly nothing special in any other department. i will say they are good musicians but if you took a backstreet boys beat and had the NFG singer sing for it, we would have the next boy band Coming from a 23-year-old who has seen this band since they toured with LTJ 4 years ago... (so you know where I'm coming from): This cd starts off pretty decent, then track #5 (I Don't Wanna Know) sucks the life out of everything. The rest of the cd is completely mediocre with the exception of 1 or 2 songs (tracks 7 and 11). If your favorite NFG cd to date is Sticks & Stones, you may like this. They weren't at all intelligent or impressive musically, but they were catchy and I could relate to them on some juvenile level. Now the songs aren't even catchy. just downloaded. boring album the new NFG borrows a lot from what's hot right now (hardcore, etc) and mixes it with their own style. some parts work and others don't. but i think this album is better than the last 2 they put out.
