This is Nikola Sarcevic's first ever solo album. You may know him from his band Millencolin. Well, fans of Millencolin picking up this album expecting their sound will be hugely dissapointed. This is a huge change from Millencolins sound, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. In this case, it's a good thing.

p.s.- this score is for the album 3 years later. while its 2 years late for a response, these lyrics did, and still do suck. SUCK. i dont give a shit what nikola was going for, or that its different than millencolin. these lyrics suck, and i'm sure if i were to listen today, theyd be just as bad. theres no sense in defending it. THESE LYRICS ARE BAD! i've heard better words from styx. The person who reviewd this cd, doesn't know were Nikola's lyrics are coming from, this is completly different from illencolin, you can't compare it, because their both completly differents sounds. This cd shows Sarcevic's sensative side, so the lyrics don't "suck" as he put it, their just not the same as Millencolin's lyrics.Completley different.Nest time this guy posts a review make sure you do a little more reshers cuase you can't say something and not know what your talking about. the guy who do this critic is probably a dumb dirt punkass for talkshitting about a wonder artist likœ sarcevic this album is one of the greatest accoustic disc i heard . with good country influence sound like kevin devine. in vein of matt skirba joey cape and tony sly I'm a millencolin fan, I love this album just as much as millencolin's albums and the lyrics, nikola's voice and everything just fit together to make it a great album if you ask me. there are some better songwriter records like from chris murray or mike park and so on this is a true love album and it certainly helped me throught a tough time of my own. i love this album. the lyrics are a little cheesy, but the actual songs help accomadate them. love the album,,, millencolin for life. i hope he does another solo project. Nikola is actually slavic, not Swedish, and his name's a rather typical slavic man's name, in slavic languages a lot of man's names end with the letter A, such as Sasha (Alexander), Andrija (Andrew), etc. very BAD review. I'm a Millencolin-fan and I love this album. I think it's great that Nikola uses so many different influences and that makes this album unique, this album is to the NOFX-generation what Mike Ness' "Cheating at solitaire" was to the misfits-generation. A proof that punks aren't just a couple of loudmouths. Bad review, Good album. I've never been into Millencolin that much but I really love this album. i really enjoyed this album it seemed like a new artistic gateway for nikola to explore. im not really sure what its doing on punknews.org simply for the fact that if your looking for a punk cd, this is definatly not it. all in all a good listening cd. umm... first off this is for reviews... not a fuckin message board... second off... even the best of songwriters use some filler lyrics... third off if you havnt heard the cd, dont post a damn review... GO BUY IT YOU CHEAP FUCKS... DONT BURN IT... To say that Nikola is capable of better lyrics than those found on his first solo album is simply a false statement. The lyrics for the songs on "Lock Sport Krock", like true Millencolin fashion, ARE good lyrics. To also suggest that songs like Mirror Man and Viola simply do not fit on the album is also ridiculous. The lyrics in Mirror Man are as potent and to the point as they are in Airhead, so why can't it fit? Is it because of its country sound? Country and folk have always gone hand-in-hand, and mesh well perfectly. In a solo album as good as this one, any Millencolin fan that actually appreciates the actual soul inside Millencolin can't help but love this too. If you're going to close your mind to something because it doesn't have Erik and Mathias' electric guitars in the background, you're clearing only appreciating Millencolin from one perspective, rather than the whole. i like this cd.. interesting result.. not what i had expected at all! but a good cd. nice to just have running low in the background. it sets me in a certain mood... can't explain further more into that.. it just does. ya'll Maybe his lyrics are weird cos he's Swedish and has a girl's name. Millencolin rule though. Red - this is a different Martin from auckland but I do work with marty's from Wellingtons brother I love the first 3 songs on this record, cheesy lyrics and all.. I had a big grin when I heard "What would you say if I said it's too soon to share last names." That's a good one amongst the mediocrity. "last selection in the ballgame, Does never get a pass" I love this album. It definetly shows a different side to Nikola Sarcevic than as you know him through Millencolin. Unlike the review states, I really enjoy the country tracks with their great harmonica solos. You have to be a punk open-minded to other forms of music to enjoy this, however. The pace of the songs is rather slow while the content involves mostly love and relationships. Sarcevic's voice is rich and smooth and so unique that this album worth a try. Even punks need music for their more relaxed moods. Um this isn't punk enough for Tate. this mean its finaly released in the states? This is a great record, It truly helped me through a rough time. This is a solid record. Nikola has never been one for lyrics but sometimes the simplest of lyrics are the best. The songs are simple and from the heart and that's what really matters. the review is pretty accurate. the lyrics, simply put, suck. i kind of wished he had sung in foreign speak just so i wouldnt have understand the words, so i could just listen to the music for what it was, without the distraction. But I've never heard Millencolin use lyrics such as "you and I, said goodbye, still I will love you, till the day that I die." if it ain't thrash it ain't fast! From what I've heard the record is pretty solid but true the lyrics are a bit corny but it's from the heart so really what does it matter. Not a fan of this review however, the criticisms sounds like they were written by a 5th grader...perhaps it's because I hate it when people try to justify not liking something by saying "it sucks." It's a solid record, but the lyrics are a bit cheesy and sophomoric from time. I like it for its honesty. Or, don't kill yourself and go listen to Life On A Plate. "I don't remember ever hearing a fast Millencolin song." "His Swedish accent is even more weird sounding when its not blended with fast punk music" This is a great album. written when he was going through a very tough time losing his brother. I think although the lyrics dont have the catchiness of Millencolin they are more heartfelt. I downloaded this months ago when it was released in Europe.
