The reviewer clearly doesn't know what he's on about. How can you criticise them for being just like every other "metalcore" * band, and then also for writing about different things to every other "metalcore" * band?

Countdown is awesome... who cares if the music is "by the book" they put on a show to rival The Casualties... so dont knock them.

as a good friend to the CTL guys... i can honestly say that they werent that stoked about this album's quality... like anybody who gets signed you make mistakes... for ctl it could have been trying to record so soon after... and choosing to do it at their hometown studio... but they have learned from their mistakes and changed labels to something more fitting... released a strong 2nd album and tour their butts off... and they get rewarded for it... tonight they play with walls of jericho, with honor and modern life is war... in florida... thats balls... thats how good they are live... so... go get the new ctl and give em a shot.

As someone who does NOT listen to hardcore regularly and generally dislikes the genericness of hardcore bands, I can say that Countdown To Lifes 'Tragedy Is So Irresistable' Is a great album

common now give these guys some credit. Seriously how many bands out there actually get signed and make something decent of themselves. Not to mention they did most of the recording them selve in a local studio with help from friends. And holy shit if you've ever seen these guys live i think you would better understand where they come from. They'll rock your balls off. well, as the webmaster of their website i can only tell you one thing: i think ths review has been misconstrued, harshly.

jesse has his opinion, and that being said, i have to disagree with it. it's his opinion, don't jump down his throat for not liking these guys. there are a million bands out there that would get the same review. don't take shit so personally, it's just an opinion.

honestly, i think these guys have alot of talent and i would support them as far as i can because i like their music. all those rip off guitar lines, screaming, and the like...i love that shit, plain and simple.

and if you for some reason don't like their first album, play it a few times. it's catchy as hell and grows on you like the plague. their next album is going to be an absolute killer. i think people will be putting their foots in their mouths instead of up countdown's asses.

i can barely imagine how theyre song titles are vommit inducing. your pathetic cheapshots and spelling corrections are what is really vommit inducing. countdown is just a group of guys (probably the nicest guys you will ever meet, by the way) that decided to go out there and do what the love to do. they are passionate about their music, they put out an awesome performance with their amazing energy and inclusion of the audience. danny loves to hand the mic around.

who the hell cares if a metal band sings a love song. i think its great for countdown to not stick to the patterns of metal bands before them, and i appluad them for being true to themselves despite the rancid critiques of snobby little they are so closed minded about how it should be done. well, i'd like to hear you do it better.
