I'll admit that I'm a little older than most of the hardcore fans that are cutting their teeth in the scene today. I've been a part of hardcore, supported hardcore bands and listened to hardcore punk rock for as long as I can remember. I'm sad to admit, but as the years pass and things like jobs, family and other mundane responsibilities of adult life take center stage, hardcore becomes less important. And now with fashion, violence and generic, cookie-cutter music reshaping the landscape, it's easy to think that you've had enough of hardcore and you want to turn your back on it and move on. This is honesty people. Just ask the dozens of bands that have broken up when they reach their thirties.

Once again the "true hardcore" fans show their real worth in their reviewing of cds that fall into their genre... "I dont like the name, " etc etc You bunch of whiny twats. "love is red and with honor remain stillborn's best signings" one of the best hardcore albums released in a long time....great great great album. They used to be a metalcore band a few years ago with song titles such as "until you come back" "can i ever trust you again" and the like. While I understand that people do change over time, it seems like this was perhaps a little fake. I know they've had a few member changes, but still. They went from covering a foo fighters song (or something in that vain) about 2 years ago to covering carry on. Shut the fuck up, tool. It's a good CD. "With The Hardest Fight, Love Is Red proves that true hardcore is alive, positive and not stopping for any one trend or fashion statement." love is red and with honor remain stillborn's best signings. these gusy are ok, apparntly they are touring with strung out, so we'll see how they do where it counts Its alright and everything. I can't say I see it in the same light as the reviewer. But a decent record, nonetheless. Reach the Sky reminds me of the Devry theme.. "Reach for the sky, Devry!" when i saw kids wearng this band's shirts, i thought they were going to be a shitty sing/scream band. nice to hear they're not. Reminds me a bit of Remembering Never...but a lot better this band is awesome, no matter what you think about their name. shit name for a shit band. When I first saw this, I thought it said "Love Is RAD". I'm so disappointed. " Love Is Red play emotional, heavy hardcore that is fast and packs a punch.". my score is for this cd, and the much appropriate review. great job. love's not red. this name sucks. Sir Poopy were you at the NMB show in Pittsburgh? this is a decent album. almost following a little too closely in with honor's footsteps. Horrible fucking name. This band is a lot better than expected. This album is awesome and they put on a great live show this cd is really good. i get firsties on all these reviews. Post my fuckin drunk reveiw of D4/NMB, no on cares about this band |
