Short Round is a three piece band from northern California. Led by Jason Thinh of Chinkees fame, the band have produced nearly half an hour of infectious, ultra-catchy pop-punk with a hint of ska. The band has often been compared to Alkaline Trio, but I feel they play a much more catchy, bouncy version of rock than Alkaline Trio have ever known.

Short Round is still goin. in fact they are playing with Mike park,Collosal, and Dan Potthast in janurary 1) Check out their split with the Sidekicks if you like this. I dig this band a lot. It's a shame that they're no more. I think maybe if they toured a bit they could probably be a lot more popular. 2/3 of the band is working on a new project now that is incredible. i think there's a song or two to download at www.jamesleste.com Score is for the band name reference to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Or it may not be. Either way, Short Round was quite the sidekick. Decent. But not much long term play value - I was looking forward to a follow up that will never come. "Great band and album, Brendan Kelly produced some stuff for them. Can't remember if he did this." This is a solid album. cathcy all the way through and a great listen. well worth the 8 bucks. this record is really fucking good and underrated. i dont really see the comparision to alkaline trio at all, its just good pop punk ish stuff with a hint of ska.. Great band and album, Brendan Kelly produced some stuff for them. Can't remember if he did this. |
