In days where ex-member hype reigns supreme over the music world, a band featuring the bass player from much-talked-about screamo band Orchid is bound to get some attention. Yet, however cliché it is to say, this band can certainly make it on its own without all the hype of their past experience.
For us, being involved in punk/d.i.y. is not the means to an end, it is both the means and the end. It transcends music and extends to all areas of life. It is creating, sustaining and contributing to an alternative community that we believe in. This collaborative effort is truly remarkable to be a part of and its very existence is inspiring to all of us. Please login or register to post comments. this features WIll K., the guitarist of orchid, not the bassist. my favorite stuff is the split with the wolves, but this record establishes the complete sound of this chaotic quartet. songs flow well into one another...and yeah, these guys are definately on point with the DIY ethic. no fashionista fakery here, these kids keep it real. This is too available on CD! Except the CD is 3 inches instead of the standard 5. This band seems to get it - records should last about as long as a beer. Holy hell, someone else on this site actually understands the concept of DIY! Props to Ebullition for amongst other things, being one of my favorite mailorder distros (even though they sold out of the Fuck on the Beach / Yacopsae split), and for the reviewer. im glad to see people still care about the true spirit of punk Man, I don't have a record player. Brilliant release. Screamo as it should be. i saw them on tour earlier this year! awesome show! awesome people! yeah they're from amherst i believe and they're all super duper nice guys...i booked a show for them down here and they were so awesome and nice. is this the same ampere from lower massachussetts? with the singer who, after finishing a set, nervously leaves the room and apologizes if he bumps into you? This didn't come out on cd buddy... anyways, this is really awesome and intense. I think their set is only like 10 minutes as well so yea, this is like listening to a live set. The recording quality is fantastic as well Oooooo. Mp3s are good. I got the split with the Wolves in the mail so it looks like I gotta get this now too. Shiat. Good review. I gotta check this out cuz Orchid was fucking sick. Son of a bitch. he updates every tuesday and firday about th is time. this records rocks big time. |
