well I give it a 10 just for the simple fact that the song "please dont do this" is the shit, and because what he talks about in that song I've been there, well besides my girl going home drunk and sh*t but anyways that song is tight and "happy someday" is pretty cool. Another thing, its 2005 there is not much anyone can be original about when it comes to music for the simple fact that its all been done before for the most part. They rock and this is coming from one of the coolest m*tha f*ckers I know, ME lol so deal with it. There's not a song on the album called "Runaway". It's called "Can't Turn Away". I see the reviewer here is quite competent - even bothered to get the names of the songs right. I'm impressed. Its felicia again : ) thye rock... i thought i'ld remind you. this was the best f*cking band ive ever delt with! They where so kind to me and my friends they deserve a 10... i love tom!!! They worked to help benifite suicidal teens, In my eyes that rocks, b/c i was one, untill they came along i didnt know there was somewhere i could get help. i love each and every one of them for all they have done. I saw them in consert and they signed my gear, i wish them the best of luck* I"ve never heard them or really heard of them before in my life but they probably rock because i was told so! :) and because i'll get my ass kicked if i say they suck....SO THEY ROCK they rock! i love them! and they are real nice in person! good lyrics too! and awsome live! nothing is bad on the cd i love the whole thing! and i like the song radio's in heaven cuz it makes me think of my uncle! Nice guys. Stayed over at our place once (our neighbors originally recorded them in Chicago) and I honestly didn't even know they were in any band until after they left and someone else told me. I thought it was pretty neat that they made no real mention of them being in music (that or they were ashamed to admit their pop punkness in front of the group). Either way, for pop punk you could do much worse. "What If" was a guilty pleasure of mine, and the quality of recording on some of their tracks is quite good. No, Scott, I said a "good" signing. This band has some the worst lyrics I've ever seen. Which is fitting, since it goes with some of the worst music I've ever heard. They used to do a pretty bitchin' cover of Livin on a Prayer, doubt they do it anymore. I will give them this- their current drummer (not sure if he's on this one or just the newest) is fuckin amazing. I'd see them live again just to watch him. Gatsbys American Dream.....meh I saw them with Jimmy Eat World and it can be summed up in one word: underwhelmed. "Fearless hasn't had a good signing since Bigwig." Despite the band hitting on many underage girls the last time I saw them, I too can understand how this CD could be a guilty pleasure. Some of the songs are damn catchy! People need to understand there is a big different between the Chicago scene and the scene of the suburbs. The suburbs produce all the crappy pop punk bands. All those bands here are in the early teens, and haven’t heard any bands outside the Vagrant/Drive Thru/Victory world. The Chicago scene ignores these crappy pop punk bands, theres much better ground-breaking bands in the city. i saw these guys with the deviates a few years ago and they were fucking horrible, Fearless hasn't had a good signing since Bigwig. i saw this band play a free afternoon show at my school once...shit, might have even seen 'em twice. The most boring shit ever. Didn't Fearless sign At The Drive-In at one time? Talk about going downhill... the guys in this band aren't even cute! "I'm sure it's been said but this band needs to follow their own advice" you know, this album really isn't that good, but their new shit, is fucking hot as hell. i know it's lame, and i know the album really is quite horrible, but for some reason i still like it a little bit...i just can't help it...it's cast some strange spell over me... I'm sure it's been said but this band needs to follow their own advice scores for the early review posting, and the 'el guapo' song, "just don't know". greatness. No one knows this, but once ago these guys were around for like three years in VILLA PARK, ILLINOIS until they got signed to Fearless. That first CD they released on Fearless was just re-released they had it out on their own before. “I know I'm not perfect but what makes him so fucking cool? He's just another little punk like the rest of them, the kid's just another tool." I know for a fact that my university radio station is the lamest one to ever exist. Seriously, all 4 of the "punk" shows ONLY play Vagrant/Drive-Thru bands. I haven't listened to these shows very much at all, but I've yet to hear one good band. Simply awful. Wow. Chinatown, if that's true, than that guy is the lamest person to ever exist. I was sampling a so-called "punk" show that airs on my university's radio station. |
