Does anyone know what the name of the Loved Ones song they played that Dave said "was new to them". Was it a song from one of their old bands or just a new Loved Ones song/ "How could you have seen Strike Anywhere and not writing a fucking word on their set? " How could you have seen Strike Anywhere and not writing a fucking word on their set? "I'm dating myself here but the Gooch was the bully on "Different Strokes" I get chills during the singalong on "Oh, There's Legwork". "I still wanna know where Never Met The Gooch came from. I DID hear the name Gooch used in my English class once, in reference to some grade school grammer book." Loud About Loathing deserves a fucking 10. None More Black is decent, I used to like File Under Black alot, so I played it recently in my car... I could barely handle listening to it. It sounded too soft and the songs have that distinct pop-punk craft to them. As much as I want to like this band, my heart is telling me it's kid dynamite but my head is telling me its just another punk band... I don't think a single person on here who was comparing NMB to any screamo bands. None More Black rocks!! All these haters should start a band if you can't find music up to par. Stop complaining, comparing and over analyzing every band. NMB have amazing style and honestey in a song that if you don't realize, then they aren't for you!! Maybe you'll relate with screamo/emo dudes in girl pants that are mad at their parents. "Take a good look at your life, is it filled with so much strife, or is that part of your punk rock style. An inch or two of honesty can stretch about a million miles." Kid Dynamite took theirs from just about everywhere. Kramer: "These are my everyday balloons" NMB writes great songs and then they are stuck trying to put a title on them and it'd difficult / daunting, so they just slap titles on songs that are silly pop references. Most of the songs off of the first one were Seinfeld Quotes. "dinners for suckers is a seinfield quote" "dinners for suckers is a seinfield quote" dinners for suckers is a seinfield quote, jerry says it I always wondered if "Dinner's For Suckers" was named after a Seinfeld quote. I agree with the first part of that, but I don't think their involvement with Fat is what made Exit English so shitty. Who says Strike Anywhere needs to go back to playing faster music and stop their involvement with all things Fat Wrecks related immediately? None More Black just plays skate-punk/pop-punk/melodic hardcore/whatever you wanna call it, there's tonnnns of bands playing it. "Far more original? you don't think yemin writes any of the music in paint it black. you're probably right, he probably just sings. idiot. NMB are pretty good live, not great...Their new ep is a let down, the only good track is the first one "Oh, There's Legwork" hella poppy but its the only good thing on there then it goes to shit.. you don't think yemin writes any of the music in paint it black. you're probably right, he probably just sings. idiot. "Comparing Paint it Black and None More black makes no sense. yemin sings in PIB and Jason plays guitar/sings in NMB and Dave plays drums in both bands making any, "pretty obvious where the talent in Kid Dynamite" arguments irrelevant." NMB was so amazing at the show. It's probably the best show I've been to since the summer. "Comparing Paint it Black and None More black makes no sense. yemin sings in PIB and Jason plays guitar/sings in NMB and Dave plays drums in both bands making any, "pretty obvious where the talent in Kid Dynamite" arguments irrelevant." you don't think yemin writes any of the music in paint it black. you're probably right, he probably just sings. idiot. None More Black..... This band can't write a good punk song to save thier lives. Should have stuck with KD and KYI dudes. Shut the fuck up about Paiint It Black. In case you don't know how to read, the review says "None More Black." Comparing Paint it Black and None More black makes no sense. yemin sings in PIB and Jason plays guitar/sings in NMB and Dave plays drums in both bands making any, "pretty obvious where the talent in Kid Dynamite" arguments irrelevant. Shitty review. With all due respect. I like how people are getting all pissy that this guy didn't touch Strike Anywhere. Score was for None More Black. Garbage. It has become obvious who had the talent in Kid Dynamite (and Lifetime). Strike Anywhere in Richmond, 4 years ago. You wouldn't have fallen asleep. i was at this show. NMB are way better live than on record, in my opinion. I don't know, they just sound tighter live to me. i hate you, go die, strike anywhere and the unseen were great....strike anywhere kicked everyones ass and you chose to review the second opening band....at least give us a song list...and me and my friend got kicked in the head by some jackass stage diver...shitty review I guess I have to like this band if only because their name is a spinal tap reference. I agree that Paint It Black is better, but, both are still great bands. Paint It Black > None More Black .... Review the other bands too next time.. if you're going to review just one band make it one that we care about I was at this show. Though I went to see TLO, NMB are great live. This was my 3rd time seeing them live, and they just go insane onstage. Paul especially, he fucking rips onstage on bass. "can None More Black, Strike Anywhere, Avail, Dillinger 4 and the Bouncing Souls go on tour again with the Lawrence Arms and just stay on tour for the rest of my time here on earth? i would die happy" Bizzle, THE EXACT same thing happened to me in NYC. I was in the city seeing the Gates and figured i would cruise by the knitting factory for a good time. Walk by, sold out. I went and got mexican food and as i walked by fucking mohawks and bondage pants galore. Man do I hate the Unseen not only for their shitty brand of punk music but their shitty fans. 40% of the Asskicking Stage under one roof. You're pissed because they have to tune their guitars? can None More Black, Strike Anywhere, Avail, Dillinger 4 and the Bouncing Souls go on tour again with the Lawrence Arms and just stay on tour for the rest of my time here on earth? i would die happy what did they start/end with? what songs off file under black were played? "i bet they are amazing live but they don't tour the west so oh well" I caught NMB last time they were here (which was more than a year and a half ago), and--don't get me wrong, they're one of my favorite bands--but either Jason didn't seem to have a concept of mic distancing or the sound guy was retarded, and I could barely hear his voice.
