Simply put...amazing.

I first heard of this band two weeks ago when they were the MP3 of the Week on punknews, I was very interested with what I heard and picked up the CD this past week. Genghis Tron combine elements of electronica, grind, and hardcore...and it works surprisingly well. These guys get more material and influence into one 2-minute song than some bands do in an entire album...but it always comes off sounding fresh and unique.

The music is extremely unpredictable; calm and quiet one second, and then suddenly it's going a mile a minute. That is what makes it so fresh sounding.

Fans of Dillinger Escape Plan, Nine Inch Nails, Aphex Twin...take note. Get a hold of these guys before everyone else does.

I just don't get it - does anyone really enjoy LISTENING to this stuff? Yeah, you can hear it once and say it's really crazy, but I just can't see anyone getting the urge to listen to this stuff time and time again. Whatever.

Eh. An Albatross does this WAY better.

No Score! Perfect for this trash. I'm gonna go start my own grind-poppy punk hip hop band now. Look for my review in the future.

This ranks up with "Squash Bowels" as the stupidest fucking bandname ever.

not the best thing i've heard... but i would recommend checking it out before making a decision, because you may like the randomness of it. and some of it does sound like it may have some potential.

but come on people. i thought this site was to help people make decisions on music, not make yourself feel better by insulting people you don't even know. maybe you should focus more on the music and less on your lack of self-esteem.

some sounds cool... some sounds horrible. they mix each of these in every song to make unpredictably bad music... originality doesn't always mean good!?

I like electronica. I like grind. This shit sucks though.

I would've liked more from this review.
Definetly too short. Even though it's got a high score, I still don't feel compelled to check this out. If you really think people should get this, make them feel like they should.
Don't worry, no one likes my reviews either.

maybe AnArcheologist should act like one and spend some time digging his head out of his own ass. i can hear the other elitist indie kids calling your name, they saved you a seat in the coffee house so you can fill up their ears with your bullshit. how about this: you come up with some original music of your own, post it, and we'll review it. after all, you are a musical visionary . . . aren't you?

    AnArchaeologist (February 22, 2005)

The only thing worse than this CD is the review. ncarlber probably listened to half of each song, masturbated, wrote the review, and then masturbated. The CD is pretty much bad Ministry combined with Bjork. Bad bands need to stop taking good names. And bad reviewers need to stop taking up good space.

ncarlber, it's not your writing quality, it's the amount work you put into it. I could memorize this in the time it takes to read a decent review, and I really don't feel like I know a thing more

what is it with you guys? do you really need a page-long review so you can say exactly the same stuff about an album that everyone else is saying? afraid to come up with an opinion of your own?

to me this is a good review. it says what to expect of this album and from there on it's up to the reader...

For people who spit on popular music that is spoonfed to everyone, you sure seem to need a lot of help as well when it comes to your own music! Score is for all those who bitch and whine too damn much

    ncarlber (February 22, 2005)

Hey....cut me some slack, it was my first review. They will improve over time.

this reviewe ris the antithesis of pitchforkmedia

    joeg (February 22, 2005)

must've taken, 3, 4 hours to write this one, eh?
