Ted Leo And The Pharmacists / Red Monkeylive in Nottingham (2005)Lookout Records Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: ThreeChordsAndTheTruth (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on March 8th 2005
This show was originally scheduled in a local bar in a bad part of town which had to be relocated as the venue was due to be demolished for making student apartments. They then moved the show to an even worse part of town in a converted old school hall, probably the weirdest place I’ve been to a show in. Inside there was a canvas sheet to preserve the backstage area with a projector beaming images of people wrestling and cars on roads.

Tom Waits is still the Man. Flying to Stockholm on Friday to see this. Should be smokin'! tel leo's records are still getting better i honestly do not understand the obsession with ted leo. i bought hearts of oak awhile back and wasn't that impressed. ted leo is the motherfucking man i thought i was going to get through a ted leo review without him being called the 'motherfucking man'. I saw Nottingham and I knew it was going to be you Matt. Good review. Makes me want to give Ted another chance "Best show I've seen in a while. I was up front and Ted commented on my shirt from the stage and I was like omgfanboylust. " In the setlist, the older song was Dial Up, the unidentified song was Suspect Device by Stiff Little Fingers and the setlist is missing Under the Hedge, Biomusicology & Stove By a Whale. I need a new username, mostly because the site always cuts mine off in submissions. Did he cancel in Newcastle in the end? hhmmm...so thats what a real ted leo review looks like... | Features
